This dropped OUT of UK chart... how? That'd be a 30 position drop - surely that's not even possible when it's only down 4k on Spotify daily week-on-week (Wednesday numbers).

I give a rough estimate either way.

I’d be happy if this ends up reaching Platinum (and eventually Double Platinum in the long run, although that might be a reach).

Flop song, wrong song. Should have been:

  1. Zombieboy

  2. Garden of Eden

  3. How Bad Do You Want Me

  4. This as a smaller single

  5. Disease Halloween

ONly way to do it

Biggest streaming day for a 2025 released-female song on Spotify Top Songs Global:

#1. “Abracadabra” — 8.45M

#2. “Manchild” — 8.05M

Was not expecting Abracadabra to maintain its record!? Wow!

‘Abracadabra’s debut day was only partial as well (granted it got the back of Grammys effect but still).

Hope it can return to the UK top 100 at some point even just in the lower regions but it’s now doing pretty well in the US and showing great longevity over there.

It’s definitely been a hit though!

Definitely an hit yes:

A video of a kid dancing to this song is going viral on Tik Tok, with the Grammys account commenting “future Grammy winner!”.

I know they’re referencing the kid, but secretly on the DL, ‘Abracadabra’ will surely win Record of the Year or Song of the Year? Unfortunately I think Kendrick has next year’s Album of the Year locked in, but I think ‘Mayhem’ is a very close runner up so who knows what will happen!

Consequence lists Lady Gaga’s “Abracadabra” as the 2nd best song of 2025 so far:

“For the last decade, Lady Gaga has asserted herself as an actress. She’s always toyed with scale and theatricality, but as her career emphasis has split, so has her identity as a musical artist. MAYHEM is indebted to this dichotomy, and no thesis is more compelling than ‘Abracadabra.’ It’s so much more than the angel-meets-devil, Jekyll and Hyde tale; it’s Lady Gaga having a conversation with all of the Lady Gagas she’s been in the past, set atop a throttling dance-pop instrumental that ranks among the best in her catalogue. Abracadabra’s composition is relatively simple — the descending melody lines, the house piano stabs, the sequenced bassline bubbling up underneath — but put together, it’s totally entrancing, made more memorable by Gaga’s convincing, full-throated performance on the mic. Even divorced from the album and its themes, ‘Abracadabra’ is exactly what its title suggests: Magic.”

clap

"Abracadabra" reaches a new peak on Billboard's Pop Airplay chart this week, up two spots to #6.

It is her second highest peaking song on Pop Radio since "Applause". Only "Die with a Smile" has peaked higher.

Oh Smashcadabra clap
