Consequence lists Lady Gaga’s “Abracadabra” as the 2nd best song of 2025 so far: “For the last decade, Lady Gaga has asserted herself as an actress. She’s always toyed with scale and theatricality,

Plus many others like Born This Way was, weren’t Judas and Edge too. Applause and The Cure! She’s never been afraid of a midweek release. I think we’ll be ok long run wise I really do! I have a strong feeling!

Which to be fair f***ed up the peak for all of these! 'Born This Way' would've been a #1 (so stupid how they screwed themselves out of an easy #1 with this), 'Judas' probably top 5 and 'Edge' probably top 3.

If 'Abracadabra' can peak next week/in another week then I guess it doesn't matter, I think it's possible.

I regret that my first listen for this was at 11am yesterday morning, we were just about to check out of our hotel in Poland and I was spending every second trying to work out how to not vomit my hangover up. Her screaming in the video did not help. As a result, I found this song really annoying.

Rest assured, by the time I got to watch the song & video twelve hours later from the safety of my sofa... I've not turned back since and I have not stopped singing this around the house since. Early 2010s Gaga has such a distinct sound that it would be easy to say "she's just trying to revive what made her popular" but she just EXCELS at this kind of dark pop so well, just as well as she did 15 years ago, that it's impossible to be mad at it. Even if it does read from the same hymn sheet as Bad Romance, Alejandro, etc... it does it flawlessly. Pop at its best.

Another praise from a KatyCat

(I hope your hangover wasn’t that bad despite vomiting!)

((So far I’ve yet to see any negative reviews on this, other than my two fellow homosexual queer besties who stan Taylor Swift and called this song average at best if not terrible ))

Z100 New York (the biggest radio station in the US) just added it, RADIO HIT HERE WE COMEEEEEEE

Has it risen anymore on US Apple Music?

Abracadabra is COMINGGGG!!!

I just checked and it’s back up to #34 now.

From the looks, Apple Music US is dominated by the hip hop/rap scene. If Abracadabra breaks the Top 10 there that would be marvellous!

Thankfully that’s close, so all it needs is longevity and a build up of hype from playlists and radio. We have time on our hands (still thinking Abracadabra is going to do a Alejandro/The Edge of Glory well chart wise).

Not to mention I can see this being a staple Halloween hit in years come by.

Abracadabra up to #6 on Apple Music UK :D

I do feel this is genuinely quite a refresh in the music industry atm. Like bad romance was, this isn't necessarily a massive step like bad romance was but I do feel this is going to be big and one of her most known songs. As a fan it just makes you irritated that she lost this in art pop and gave us a 2/10 album in chormatica. Wasted years!!!

If this becomes one of her signature hits tagged alongside Poker Face, Bad Romance, Shallow and Die with a Smile I will CRY  (again).

And this is for all those haters who say she can’t get a hit without collaborators  :D
