Posted March 6Mar 6 Officially headlining Glastonbury, and they've debuted a new logo today on socials - so I imagine new music is coming very soon!
March 6Mar 6 They're so hit and miss for me that it's difficult to get excited about new music from them. There's at least one song I really like from each era though!
March 6Mar 6 Waiting for a new style of Matt and their music.NYC concert was one of the best lives in 20s.Wish them only the best in their carreer.
March 6Mar 6 I always look forward to The 1975 releasing new music, but despite the Glastonbury headliner slot, they do appear to have lost some of their appeal I think.Yes, there is usually at least one major commercial radio friendly hit each era.
March 7Mar 7 Author Their last "era" was by far their most commercially successful, tour-wise. Selling out The O2 arena 6 times, all their other arena dates (of which there were about 15 more), and a sold out Finsbury Park gig!

I can't really see them having a Top 5/10 hit unless there is a really special song which goes viral.Suspect they might try out a stadium tour for their next tour. Easily reckon they could sell out a couple of dates at Wembley & Heaton Park/Old Trafford.

March 7Mar 7 Author I felt that around 2020-2021 tbf, I think Notes On a Conditional Form harmed their momentum a lot - but Being Funny in a Foreign Language and especially their 2023 tour put them right back on track. They've never sold as many tickets in the UK before as they did that year, and sold out another arena tour at mainly the same venues exactly a year later. They've been quiet for a while now obviously, but I think their next lead single could finally get them a Top 10 single.
March 7Mar 7 Author In other news, 'Still... At Their Very Best (Live From The AO Arena, Manchester, 17.02.24)' is out on streaming platforms today with a physical release on 30th May!Great to have the new version of 'A Change of Heart' on streaming, with added sax & a female verse.
June 9Jun 9 Sounds like for their Glastonbury show they have curated a one off show. Looking forward to it. Feels like the new material is still some way off yet.
