Do you think it would be relevant to add a section dedicated to sharing our music lists and playlists by theme on the forum? This would allow everyone to discover new tracks thruough suggestions and inspirations from other members.

What do you think?

This does sound like a fun interactive idea, especially now that the forum has the capability of reactions too. I would get involved in collaborative playlists for sure.

There's a thread for personal playlists in the Music Lounge I believe!

It’s not just about sharing your Spotify playlist on the forum, but more of a brainstorming approach.

 

Here are some topic ideas:

• I have the beginning of an acoustic playlist with Mumford & Sons and George Ezra, and I’m looking for similar tracks to complete it.

• Let’s create a playlist of the best remixes of 2024.

• Let’s share our lists of songs that include trumpets.

I think the playlist thread could still be used for this, or perhaps a more general recommendations / sharing new music thread for the Music Lounge to include stuff that doesn't necessarily get its own thread?

Not sure this idea would require a full section but I do like the idea nonetheless!

I kinda think there could be something in this. It's sort of like an extension of the Buzzjack Presents... series that Colm, Gooddelta and Wardy work on, but with members collaborating to create the ideas.

I don't know if it's something that just appeals to me personally or whether it would also appeal to others.

Depending on what streaming services people use, I know many on BuzzJack have access to a Spotify account, and I recall there is a feature called "Blend" which is I believe an algorithm designed to create a playlist based upon a user's listening habits? I think it updates all the time so it's never static.

But going back to the original idea @isanka, I do quite like it as a whole but I believe for it to truly work and be effective you need to make sure many many other users of BuzzJack would be on board and collaborate with you. Otherwise it's going to fail early on which would be sad to see.

Definitely worth giving it a go as a thread in the Music Lounge to begin with!
