Bayern Leverkusen have a sporting director, I think they will be staying very clear of certain players. Their highest ever transfer fee is about £20m too- reckon they will focus more on young value players or older experienced players to plug the gaps.

Man Utd history with Brazilians is not amazing but he fits perfect for Amorim’s system. Sancho’s style suits European football not premier league football. Cunha is a proper premier league player

Put Bayinder between the sticks and we might not leak as many goals.

That’s terrible journalism. No links or any concrete sources in there, literal headline grabs. Can’t see it myself as no one is going to be able to afford his wages. More likely to be a loan move.

The paragraph below about Wirtz says Bayern and Man City are still trying to sign him šŸ˜‚

We’ll see what happens. They’ve never had so much money so it changes things.

Just need some teams to buy up Man Utd’s unwanted talent. Quite a lot of players there from Garnacho to to Rashford. But nothing even looks close

Problem with this window is it is only 10 days long so there will be some panic buying again in an effort for clubs to get in early, but with just 5 days left to go, the intensity of the transfers will die down for a couple of months afterwards.

Is it? Wow I never heard that

Deals will still happen, they just won’t be formalised. Think the window opens again in two weeks. The reason we’ve got this splurge is the teams involved in the Club World Cup have kicked things off, so there’s a rush to get signings done to play in the tournament.

Isn’t Rashford injured currently? I think the issue is with the likes of Rashford, Sancho, Antony, Garnacho is it’s well know Man Utd want rid and have to sell. In a game of poker, it’s far likely Man Utd are going to blink first. Don’t think anyone is going to stump up massive cash outside of possibly Garnacho. But Napoli seem more focused on free agents at the moment.

What if a swap deal was considered, if United bought a player like Mbeumo and loaned one of their own, such as Sancho, but paid half the wages. That's probably the most feasible option to run down the clock on all these overpaid contracts.

Those deals don’t really happen anymore as they are so complex. I also can’t imagine Brentford paying over 175k a week for any player, considering Mbuemo is allegedly on 45k and is asking for 250k at Man Utd!

I think Antony might get a transfer or loan move, but think you’re stuck with the rest without taking losses on them. Think Villa might be interested in Rashford still, but they look like they’re in a mess themselves with PSR. It’s why selling Garnacho and Mainoo are probably appealing as they appear as pure profit on the books and probably quite likely to get decent transfer fees.

Personally, I know you guys don’t rate Hojlund or Garnacho but under Ten Haag these players were doing quite well. I’m not convinced what you’re buying and being linked to is necessarily better or an upgrade. Take Gyokeres as one example- Liverpool, Arsenal and even Chelsea seem to be avoiding him even though he's available. There’s got to be something even in the numbers or the player data that shows he’s not value for money.

Worth the risk. Obviously he’s 27 and only been successful in the last three years most of which were in the Portuguese league and stats boosted by pens but you do get late bloomers and he could just be one of those

Just think myself there is something in there if the big clubs are avoiding him despite the need for a striker. I think one of the issues might be his inability to score goals with his head.

Wouldn’t really read much into that. Arsenal and Chelsea have spent a lot of money on poor strikers

Liverpool are not sniffing about though and we're in the Market for a striker too.

Because Federico Chiesa was not enough last season...

Just seems whoever you bring in is going to get more time on the subs bench barring injuries to Jota, Gakpo, Nunez.

Nunez is 100% off this summer, which leaves Jota or Diaz as our forward options. Well documented we're after a forward at the moment, but won't buy one until we have sold Nunez.

Of our forward options, think Slot only rates Diaz, Gakpo and Salah. Jota's form fell off a cliff after his last injury- looks a shadow of himself. There were 3 real spots for us where we could upgrade this summer (left back, creativity and a forward who plays Slot's style).

Well when you’re spending Ā£130 on Wirtz I doubt Ā£70 mill on a striker is a top priority when you already have 4 at the club.

Arsenal seem interested too but it’s reported he’d prefer Man Utd due to his relationship with Amorim and Chelsea went for Delap. I’ve watched a few highlights and he is a bit like Hoijund in some aspects like awkward ball control which is obviously not ideal but he can finish.

Chelsea also heavily linked with Mohammed Kudos this evening which would see goalkeeper Robert Sanchez go the opposite way to make space for their incoming French goalkeeper.

We are signing a striker, but we need to sell Nunez first. As usual, we will spend no more than £50-60m net this summer. All the journos are reporting it and first with what I suspect will happen this summer, 4 signings and done.

How the Glazers cost Man Utd 1.2 billion for no gain

How the Glazer family cost Manchester United £1.2bn

Twenty years since the Glazer family bought Manchester United BBC Verify has found £1.2bn has been spent on debt interest, debt repayments, dividends and fees to the family.

Shouldn’t even be legal to buy a club with borrowed money

PLEASE BE TRUE!!!

Sky in ItalyĀ are reportingĀ Inter MilanĀ are interested in Manchester United strikerĀ Rasmus Hojlund.

However, a decision on whether to formally approach United will have to wait until the club's managerial situation is finalised.

Cristian Chivu will be appointed as their new head coach imminently and he will have a say about whether to pursue a deal for Hojlund.

It's thought United are not "pushing Hojlund out of the door" and are only likely to consider offers if the player makes it known he wants a new challenge.
