I suggested Cover Drive - Twilight in the other thread as literally the first thing that came into my head (a few people liked / agreed by the way, so I think it should be added if there is a bigger poll), but it struck me as the sort of song where if it had entered and peaked at #6 instead, would anyone be surprised then or now? Sure it still has its fans, and it's certainly not a bad song, but perhaps more of an inoffensively passable one than a classic of its time.

You could put something like Rixton - Me And My Broken Heart in that camp maybe. Nothing wrong with it particularly - just sounds like tens of other songs from the time.

Nah. I Feel You by Peter Andre is more ordinary I think. A worse chart run, a second No.1 filler hype bubble thing that I honestly can’t hum a note of. It didn’t go top ten in any other country either

So in the original thread I suggested The Real Thing by Toni Di Bart. I’d also like to throw in Blame it On the Weatherman by B*Witched.

Woah woah woah blame it on the weatherman is far from ordinary 🤔

Agreed with most of the examples here, but No Tomorrow is an absolute banger and utterly undeserved of an ordinary title, lots of good memories of listening to that as a 17 year old. I know it got the lowest weekly #1 sale ever but sold well in the long run.

I Feel You, Twilight, To You I Belong though absolutely yes, and while Forever Love has at least some notability to it the song is very forgetful.
