I just found that Lithuania already participated 25 times on Eurovision. After similar rankings for Eurovision and Melodifestivalen I started to prepare my top 50 from the best country and most epic Eurovison national pre-selection, but based on the huge number of songs per year (sometimes over 40 entries) it's very long road. So firstly I (shortly) will post personal full ranking of all Lithuanian ESC songs.

I think "Luktelk" is fine (overrated by fans, but I can still bop to it if it comes on), but yeah, the rest in this section are all dreadful.

I'm surprised "We Are The Winners" made it as high as it did in your ranking, I would have it with this bottom lot. The very worst kind of novelty, comes off far too smug.

I'd say my top 5 for Lithuania would be "I've Been Waiting For This Night", "Stay", "When We're Old", "Happy You" and "This Time" ("Attention" and "Little by Little" just missing out, they're both underrated)

Would be happy to see Estonia and Latvia, or a ranking of any country from 2000 to 2025

I was amused by opening this thread and seeing that I would probably rank the bottom 6 here as my top 6 Lithuanian entries in a slightly different order.

one of the worst countries prior to 2017 and somehow one of the best countries of the 2020s.

"We Are The Winners" is iconic and the most memorable Lithuanian Eurovision song. Pop Ladies performed it on national pre-selection 2013 (maybe in the final).

All four members of Pop Ladies are popular Lithuanian singers. If you watched Lithuanian NFs you can remember Liepa (NF-2025), Baiba (NF-2023) and Natalija (from YVA).

I will continue with my favourites from all Lithuanian pre-selection from 1999 to 2025. Based on the number of songs (sometimes) Lithuanian Atranka is even more iconic than Melodifestivalen. Also I will do the threads for Latvia and Estonia in the same format. Firstly the ranking of all their Eurovision songs and after it all my favourites from NFs.

More love for Baltic Sisters and their wonderful (but mostly missed) songs from pre-selections.

For other countries - my favourites from 2000-2024 were mentioned in 2024 year thread. With 2025 entires Remember Monday will be the second place for UK (behind Scooch), Laika Party is the third place in Ireland and Luxembourg must be mentioned too.

Two famous Lithuanian singers Ruta Sciogolevaite and Aiste Pilvelyte, but losers in Eurovision pre-selections, debuted already in 1999 year.

It was typical 90s Eurovsion with talented singers, but mostly forgettable songs.

“Discotheque” might well be my favourite Lithuanian entry: brilliantly effective in every way and still sounds great.

I still have a bit of a soft spot for “Something” by Andrius Pojavis from 2013 as I went to that contest. It’s a very basic song but has a simple charm to it.

“Tavo Akys” was also a highlight for me with a great moody energy, though I understand why those who want uplifting pop from Eurovision abhorred it.

See this is the thing, Lithuania has never been particularly good at the 'uplifting pop'. I mean, 'Stay' is alright, 'This Time' was okay but far outclassed by the other duet songs from 2015. It's all very basic musically though and I would class pretty much all of the rest of their entries before the late 2010s into this, either boring or don't hit their niche as well as they should.

But they're doing excellently with the moody indie and refined retro aesthetics they've swerved into lately.

Luktelk is FAR and away my favourite Lithuanian entry ever, I'd love to know what makes it a 0/10! All opinions are subjective though, I do realise.

Iris - Find Your Song

Third pre-selection gave the earliest Lithuanian song for my retrospective chart "Gražios Dainos". Iris' song debuted at # 5 and reached # 3 for three non-consecutive weeks behind allSTARS* and Melodifestivalen entry "Big Time Party".
