Posted June 20, 2025Jun 20 This thread is for older 21st Century songs that either didn't chart at the time or charted outside the top 40 that have made the top 40 for the first time in recent memory.Coldplay - Sparks wasn't listed as an official single but had made the chart with a 94 peak until this week where it sits at 40.Imogen Heap's 'Headlock' is the other one that comes to mind. Originally peaked at 74 in 2006 and peaked at 30 earlier this year.Is there any other examples?
June 20, 2025Jun 20 I would say Rihanna’s Breakin’ Dishes but not actually sure if that charted officially in the end.
June 23, 2025Jun 23 @Roba. Did Sparks chart at #94 before? I don't recall that. The OCC has it as NEW at #40 as in week 1.
June 23, 2025Jun 23 Author Ah ok maybe not then. I was reading Wikipedia at the time of the chart on friday which for some reason had it down at 94 before but yes of course shouldn't trust that as a genuine source lol.

Yesterday at 12:321 day Author Chemical Brothers 'Go' made the top 40 for the first time yesterday when it came in at 22 (looking to go further than that too even in the coming weeks) Immediately improving on it's 2015 #46 position.
