  • The No 7 seed Mussetti is a surprise early casualty as veteran Basilashvili seals a four-set win out on No 2 Court.

  • Well nice to see this electronic calling change has completely bombed. Just saw that ridiculous call in the Pavlyuchenkova/Kartal match, no one had any sense to just watch a replay and call the point

  • Just a different class, Norrie didn't play badly but Alcaraz is a beast. No one is stopping him

Sinner you lucky lucky boy! Absolutely gutted for Dimitrov there

Yeah very unlucky. Played great. At the same time Sinner showed his movement on grass is a bit stiff and he’s very beatable on this surface

The draw for Novax just keeps getting more open doesn't it really 🤢 Sinner wasn't 100% but absolutely take nothing away from Dimitrov because he played much better, so awful for him to retire from 5 grand slams in a row.

Hoping for Alcaraz will win it all. wub

Poor Dimitrov, he was playing great and it was so sad to see him have to retire, crazy that this has happened five slams in a row. I did wonder if Sinner might have won it in five but Dimitrov deserved the chance to try and play it out, gutting injury.

I saw most of Djokovic's match earlier and he did well to turn it around after a poor first set as de Minaur was playing pretty well.

yes poor Dimitrov, he was doing soooooo much better than Sinner, he would have totally won

De Minaur started amazing but Novak was definitely better from the 2nd on

Carlos beat Norrie so easily he could well make it 3 wimbledons in a row

Just a different class, Norrie didn't play badly but Alcaraz is a beast. No one is stopping him

Alcaraz didn't play that great in parts of the previous matches but yesterday he was perfect

Norrie couldn't do anything

oh my I really thought Sabalenka was gonna lose, she played terrible, so so bad, embarrassingly bad, she only won cos she was playing against a low ranking player, but she just be ashamed of reaching SF with such bad game on grass

Going back to Dimitrov, that was one of the saddest things I've seen in sport for a long time, with what happened to him. Sport can be a real b*tch at times and cruel.

Congratulations to Amanda Anisimova on reaching her first Grand Slam final by beating Sabalenka in an deciding set. She was 33/1 at the beginning of the tournment.

Sabalenka is just never gonna win Wimbledon is she, absolutely prime position this year and still can't get it over the line.

Amanda Anisimova is only the second player in the Open Era to reach a women’s singles final at a Grand Slam after losing in qualifying at the previous year’s event, along with Bianca Andreescu at the US Open in 2019.

Another stat for you all:

Since 1990, Amanda Anisimova is the fourth player to defeat the world number one at Wimbledon en route to a maiden Grand Slam final after Zina Garrison (1990), Marion Bartoli (2007) and Sabine Lisicki (2013).

Sabalenka is never gonna do well at Wimbledon cos grass doesn't fit her style of playing

they were explaining it yesterday on tv, i didn't get it 100% but something like balls have lower bounce on grass so the ball stays low, which doesn't fit her. Also she's not the best at moving across the court and on the net.

I would love to not do well at Wimbledon if never doing well equates to making the semi-finals on three consecutive appearances.

Would assume that Iga has the final in the bag with how easy she's breezed through most of her matches this year, seems that she's got the grass figured out. Will be rooting for her and Carlos to both get their 6th slam this weekend.

Well Tim Henman was constantly branded a flop despite making the semis 4 times in total, higher pressure comes with high expectations!

I will be backing Alcaraz unless he plays Djokovic in the final, would love him to finally get that 25th even though I can't see it happening.

And I'm team Anisimova for the Women's. Never been a huge Swiatek fan plus I'm enjoying this run of years where the winner is a complete outsider pre-tourno.

Saw a bit of that set. Fritz was outplaying Carlos pretty convincingly for most of it.
