So what if I am. I only buy the numbered albums and 12" 80s from Asda. I also buy a few artist albums from there and they should start selling extra and vaults. They used to sell the extras but they stopped. They give us albums we don’t want but they stop the albums we do want ie. reissues. I’d easily take a Now 19 reissue over Now Legends any day and Now 19 is worth more than Now Legends hence why you won’t find the former in charity shops but you’ll find the latter in charity shops by the end of the year

And if they had have re-released Now 19 would you have been happy that multiple songs would have had to be omitted due to licensing? I don’t think so. I can see why they discontinued them with the reviews they were getting from fans.

Perhaps they’re scared to announce it because of your scathing iTunes reviews.

It’s like you completely ignored everything I had to say. It’s wild that I was told this by someone in the music industry and you’re just like “no” who probably has no experience in the field whatsoev

I have the original so it wouldn’t bother me but because they didn’t reissue Now 19, it’s too expensive to get which is why I’m glad I already have it. If they’d have reissued it, it might have caused the original version to drop drastically in price. In my opinion, the reissues should’ve stopped after Now 9. The purpose of the reissues was for people to have Now 2-9 on CD but they decided to continue them after that

I reckon they should clear all individual yearbooks first and save the final chapters for last. Here’s my predictions

2027

Extra 1994 (8th January)

1975 (5th February)

Extra 1975 (19th March)

1996 (23rd April)

Extra 1996 (4th June)

1970 (25th June)

Extra 1970 (6th August)

1995 (27th August)

Extra 1995 (8th October)

1975-1979 (29th October)

2028

Extra 1975-1979 (7th January)

1990-1994 (11th February)

Extra 1990-1994 (24th March)

1970-1974 (28th April)

Extra 1970-1974 (9th June)

1995-1999 (30th June)

Extra 1995-1999 (11th August)

I’m hoping one these are complete that they start doing yearbooks for the 00s

You know? Those were my initial predictions, but that looks pretty respectable...

Oh, and nice to know you predicted 1995-1999 to be released on my 30th birthday. I gotta give it to you. Mad respect.

And my (new) predictions for the remining colours:

1970 - brown

1975 - purple

1995 - fire red

1996 - royal blue

Am a bit unsure on what to predict the other four (final chapters).

If they’d have released 1972 on 24th April instead of 8th May, I’d have had the extra edition on my birthday and as for colours, we could get a shade of orange for 1995 or 1996. I’m hoping peach orange if they’d wanna use orange for 1995 or 1996 as 1990 is a cross between red and orange. I’d class it as blood orange

But guys, surely we're getting The Vault: Extra, right? 😉

On a more serious note, it's sad to see that we are coming to a close for the 70s, 80s and 90s at least, and I do hope that they release something like two volumes of the 50s (1952-1956, and 1957-1959) and I would also be happy with 00s Yearbooks if they do go down that route. Like the 90s ones, we can use those to fill in the gaps of songs that missed out appearances on the numbered volumes.

It is satisfying to listen to them in order though, so once the sets are completed, I'm going to put them in order as a master playlist. Do you think The Final Chapters should come after 1984/1989 in the playlist order?

How did they make this, especially the cover with the NOW DANCE font?

I have no idea, but it'd be fascinating if they EVER did 00's yearbooks (must they do so) with the NOW Dance font.

I’ll take 00s yearbooks over those boring and repetitive spin-offs any day

I thought this was real for a minute.

Seeing as the 90s yearbooks and eras have been failing to top the compilation chart, fingers crossed Now Legends does the same. Just seen that the soundtrack for latest Hunger Games is released on 13th so hopefully, it does enough to stop Now Legends

Uh, yeah. Anything about this week's impending announcement? Now 125? (I'm also hoping for Yearbook 60s Volume 4)

We’d have had Now 125 announcement this week if they didn’t announce Now Legends last week but we’ll get the announcement more likely next week thanks to Now Legends

Does anyone know the total number of songs that covers the entire NOW Yearbook series to date (excluding NOW Yearbook '94)? This includes:

  • The main Yearbook

  • The Yearbook Extra

  • The Vault

  • The Final Chapter

  • Presents The 60s

If anyone can give me a definitive number that would be great!

Just calculated everything up for you, it is 4,655 songs that cover all of the NOW Yearbooks without NOW Yearbook 1994.

With 1994, it is 4,734 songs

Yup, I got the same number.
