Yous HAVE to check out the BBC Proms stuff, all the orchestral arrangements with her vocals are GORGEOUS. We’ve just got home from seeing it live and really feel like we got to see something special.

My highlights were:

  • Her cover of ‘Frozen’ which doesn’t really do it for me in studio form (when the Madonna original exists) but it sounded exquisite with all the strings

  • ‘Fantasy’ which featured some of her best vocals and the mix of high notes/orchestral instruments was like entering sonic heaven.

  • ‘Remember My Name’ which was a lovely ode to another iconic Geordie (Sam Fender, of course) and it was endearing to see her get so emotional as it clearly meant so much to her.

  • ‘Angel of My Dreams’ which you could tell they really worked hard to make the orchestral version sound special and get the most out of all the instruments. Really cool to hear the instrumental they created to back Jade up on this.

It was lovely to see her talk so much about her love for the North East. I can’t wait to see the filmed version on the BBC later in the year because you could tell everyone in the room regarded her as a local hero.

After the radio broadcast was over, she came back out to perform her next single which will be cut into the telly version. As a huge Diana Ross/Supremes fan, I thought it sounded amazing. I don’t know how I’ll wait a couple months from now to hear the studio version. The story she told to introduce it was so emotional too so I can’t wait for yous to hear that alongside it.

It was, but I’ve avoided all leaks.

Spoilers

She says the studio version interpolates her singing the chorus as a little girl, so she brought her eight year old niece on stage to be the Little Jade for the night. Such a sweet heartfelt moment!!!

Idk how to spoiler on the new site, sorry. A mod can edit this post if need be.

Spoilered it for you!

It’s the “Wrap in Box” function! Title it “Spoilers” and then use the settings cog to the right of it and select Expandable!

Did she called it the next single or are you assuming? If she did, it’s an amazing choice for the single to launch the album with.

I can’t remember the exact wording but it was introduced as something she’s gonna release around the album, so it sounded more like it’d get a push than it just being an album track. If that makes sense, sorry I don’t remember exactly what she said. It was the only one she recorded separate for telly after the radio broadcast was finished so one would assume it’s getting a push x

Thanks Jonjo!

Still not had a chance to listen to the full set yet but heard bits and bobs. However, her version of ‘Remember My Name’??? MY FCKING GOD!

Sensational.

Finally listening now.

'IT girl' is really "grand" and very movie-esque. ADORE!

'Frozen'... STUNNING.

'Plastic Box' is INSANE! OMFG! LOVE LOVE LOVEEEEEEE!

FLOORED at 'Sweet Melody' HOLY CRAP! The "on and on" parts before the middle 8??????????!?!?!?!?!? WOW WOW WOWWWWW!

'Fantasy' is one of the ones I haven't seen a single clip of... I don't know why coz it's so fun! Love this arrangement of it.

This arrangement of 'FUFN' is so minimalistic and I kinda love that about it!

Her version of 'Remember My Name' is just out of this world. Truly. GAHD! Her Geordie accent really pops out on this one and it's wonderful! wub Ohhhh that dedication at the end! crycry

The Clubland megamix is sublime! How tf does her mind work enough to know how to pull THAT off??? Insane!

'Angel Of My Dreams' is obviously outstanding. Just phenomenal.

This is definitely my favourite set she has done on this festival run. I am a sucker for strings/piano arrangements of things and this just blew me away in more ways than I could ever have imagined. Whoever pieced together the arrangements in the ways they did... take a BOW! Her VOCALS too?? She truly outdoes herself every time. I wish people took her more seriously as a vocalist. One of the best the UK has today.

I really hope we get an EP/limited vinyl release of this or something. I NEED these versions to spam in one way or another...

My God. Flawless.

I thought I would split her BBC Proms stuff away from the festival stuff. It feels quite different to her festival slots and gigs. It'll be broadcast later this year (September/October time) and I think we could do with something that separates this set from everything else.

'Angel Of My Dreams' seems to have been uploaded somewhere though, I can't see where it originally aired/leaked from but it's doing the rounds at least.
