How did they get Le Sserafim, Sienna Spirro, Westlife, Foo Fighters, Nathan Evans, Mumford & Sons, K-Pop Demon Hunters, Sabrina Carpenter, Duran Duran and Madonna in the same chart. With all the iTunes sales, radio airplay and Apple Music streams, there is no doubt we will see Sabrina, Sienna and Westlife on that Jingle Bell Ball lineup.

^ please keep Big Top 40 chat in here, it's not an official, industry-recognised chart and they're not remotely transparent about it so I don't think it needs its own thread!

  • Yeah there is absolutely no way Taylor is doing it!

Made a thread specifically for this year's Jingle Bell Ball with news imminent, FYI!

Because it's heavily weighted towards iTunes innit.

Does anyone have anymore predictions for JBB before the lineup is announced??

No not really. I find it really hard to predict knowing the STB was so unexpected, the only prediction I have is RAYE. Are you planning to go Sami?

Edited by James.

Of course. This might be the most legendary ball ever seen with at least a bong game and 16 names (and one bonus) across the weekend.

I'll throw the following out as potentials, mostly based on recent playlistings:

Alex Warren

Anne-Marie
Cat Burns

Charlie Puth
Conan Gray

Ed Sheeran

Leigh-Anne

Lewis Capaldi

Louis Tomlinson

MK

Myles Smith

RAYE

Rizzle Kicks (one of their newer songs got played tonight, really random, could see them being part of the line-up mostly for throwback impact)

sombr

YUNGBLUD

Won't be all of them and I imagine there may be one or two other names for nostalgia (like Busted, Sugababes, S Club, etc at previous Capital events). Ed and RAYE would probably be headliners if the above ends up being anywhere near correct, and that wouldn't feel super exciting to me, though Conan and/or sombr would certainly have me considering it.

Not sure on cat as she has just rescheduled her tour to next spring for her own wellbeing, though she’s not completely stepping away as she’s still doing her mini record store tour this and next week so who knows!

Even weirder when the song doesn’t even have 50K streams on Spotify!

It’ll increase by December, don’t you worry

And Joseph, who do you want for the BOOTB act??

I made a very rough list of predictions:

  • 5 Seconds of Summer (BOOTB)

  • Alessi Rose

  • Alex Warren

  • Calvin Harris

  • Conan Gray

  • Ed Sheeran

  • KATSEYE

  • Leigh-Anne

  • Louis Tomlinson

  • MK

  • Myles Smith

  • RAYE

  • Rizzle Kicks

  • Sam Fender

  • Sonny Fodera

  • Tate McRae

  • YUNGBLUD

Alessi and Tate are probably unlikely to appear but Alessi was played on Wednesday night and has been supporting Tate on tour recently.

I don’t think 5SOS are old enough to be the surprise throwback act, it’ll be someone from the 2000s I imagine

The surprise act isn’t necessarily a throwback although it has been since JBB 2024.

It is The Sun so you gotta take it with a pinch of salt but otherwise looking very exciting.

So Ed Sheeran may definitely be on for Saturday and Louis Tomlinson may definitely do the ball in some way. Could the record breaking group be Blackpink?? Or quite frankly the Backstreet Boys??? Or even HUNTR/X

And is the A list star Sabrina Carpenter, Lady Gaga or Taylor Swift??

I want at least 20 names on this lineup and tickets to BOTH NIGHTS

Not a chance Taylor Swift is there.

But TFOO may make 5 weeks at number one this Sunday on the EE Official Big Top 40 and they playlisted a lot of the songs.

Surely Taylor should be on this list

I think she’s just too big at this point though - I don’t even think she’d headline Radio 1’s Big Weekend anymore.

And would probably be listed in The Sun article, as they’re usually correct with entertainment news. The wording to me suggests that the group is HUNTR/X.
