Posted October 14, 2025Oct 14 Opinion was split regarding what should have been released as single #4 - Madonna wanted 'Impressive Instant' and Warner wanted 'Amazing'. In the end, no further singles were released, but what would your choice have been?
October 14, 2025Oct 14 Not sure. 'Impressive Instant' is by far and away my favourite track on the album but I'm not convinced it would've worked as a single.Would've perhaps been interesting to see them take a risk with it.

I can totally see Madonna pushing for 'Impressive Instant', an unconventional, bold choice that aimed to the future, but I understand Warner wanting a radio hit that would push album sales and 'Amazing' revisited past glories in the shape of 'Beautiful Stranger', one of her biggest radio hits.I'd have opted for a double A-side. 'Amazing' could have been sent to radio whilst 'Impressive Instant' could have had all the remixes and be sent to the clubs. It just seems a waste that no single was released at all to coincide with the tour. Given 'Ray of Light' had five singles, they could easily have had another hit single for 'Music'. Maybe 'Music' would have ended up selling even more than 'Ray of Light' - only 100k between them as of 2019!

Little Star was tagged on to The Power Of Goodbye but it was not a Double A Side!

Was it sent to radio?
