October 24Oct 24 Author Good to see Gaga still being relevant enough for R1 in 2025 to be the longest runner on the playlist .Speaking of relevance, Biffy Clyro are in their mid-40's now so I wouldn't be surprised if this is their last era of full R1 support.Love that Role Model song but why has it taken them 8 months to playlist it?!
October 24Oct 24 Didn't Biffy play at the Big Weekend? That's probably bought them support for this era. Could say the same for Mumford & Sons really. Straight to B List?? Probably due to Hozier being on that track.
October 24Oct 24 Depends with Biffy, they are similar to the Foo Fighters so many get support for a while yet!

October 24Oct 24 Aside from DJs, I think Thirty Seconds To Mars are the oldest artists to be playlisted with their most recent era - 53 & 51 in 2023.
Friday at 15:005 days Good to see upwards movement for Myles Smith and Cat Burns, I wish they would move Zara up though! Nice to see oskar med k/Khalid (although I wish it was the solo version) and Tkandz/CXSPER.

Still, there's always Radio X, which I have no intention of listening to ever again unless it's a special occasion.Me and commercial radio just don't get on!Who is the guy at Radio 1 who decides who is and isn't relevant anyway? Presumably the Head of Music, which is still Chris Price. Hardly fresh out of university himself. I imagine he sits there all day going:"Lorde? Oh, okay then! Sam Ryder? NOT ANYMORE!!!! Tom Odell? We haven't played him for years...oh he's big on TikTok. ON HE GOES!!!"Whilst pretending all their listeners are under 30 when hardly any of them are. Edited Saturday at 01:275 days by HiyaLuv!
Saturday at 03:135 days why are they just playlisting that Role Model song, it peaked in US radio MONTHS ago lol
Saturday at 20:274 days It'll be interesting to see if R1 get on board with Lily. Not sure how they'd play Pussy Palace.. 😄 Edited Saturday at 20:274 days by Jαsє

He even acknowledged it's not a new song but that it's probably new to some listeners. I guess it's another example of a tour playlisting which is happening a fair bit now.
