December 7, 2025Dec 7 When I realized this show was made by the same person who created The Idol, which was disgusting on SO many levels, I lost any remaining interest (of which I had barely any given season 2 was absolute trash and I didn’t even finish it).It’s just one facet but the utter obsession that Levinson has with teenagers having sex and doing drugs is deeply concerning. I believe Season 1 helped influence my relationship with substances and I had to go through a weird period of time as a result of it. Utterly unrealistic glorified porn of a show made by a creep with a huge ego.
March 15Mar 15 Author Labrinth has hit out at the show and Columbia Records on Instagram this week, stating that he's "done with the industry". He has been working on the soundtrack for this season with Hans Zimmer, but it's not currently clear what's happened recently. Labrinth's music is very much deep rooted into the show with a lot of tracks, especially from Season 1, holding an immense power in how the show comes across on screen.
April 10Apr 10 Author Out this weekend then.HBO have now confirmed that Labrinth's music is not featuring. The series has also received poor reviews from critics.Well done Sam Levinson 🙃
May 15May 15 Yeah it’s a complete mess.Also, not sure how controversial this is, but I find Rue to be the worst character, all her storylines bore me to tears (and have done since S1 tbf) 💀
