Songs: Top 300

Absolutely racing through the first 100 songs as not every track needs its own bespoke commentary! Among notable happenings are the first top 10 hits to drop, the lowest this year being VÆB with their Eurovision banger RÓA, which remains extremely fun but it had a short shelf life. Cher Lloyd is just one spot above with comeback single Head Down, which became her first top 10 hit in six years (while fellow X Factor alum Diana Vickers just missed a new top 10 hit with Ice Cream, one spot above Cher Lloyd).

New artists (to my chart, at least!) appearing in these sections include Building the Band winners 3Quency and contestants Midnight Til Morning, as well as Isabel Wood (who scores one of the top non-top 10 hits of the year), beaux, Luca George, Chloe Qisha, Iggi Kelly, and Melodifestivalen's SCARLET, Arwin, Vilhelm Buchaus and Maja Ivarsson. Some of these have more songs to come - Midnight Til Morning and Iggi Kelly have another top 10 hit each to come, while both of Arwin's debut hits have dropped out already, with non-top 10 hit SPACEBOY outdoing top 10 This Dream of Mine.
