Guys, if you're going to work collaboratively on a recurrent list, could you take the discussion to PMs please? It's cluttering up the thread! Thanks!

If anyone was wondering you could fit all Capital FM playlist threads from 2020 - 2024 and four months of 2025 into this thread...

That’s interesting. Considering End of Beginning, Satisfy and You’re A Superstar is still there yet they haven’t added new MNEK, Myles Smith or Ellie Goulding

Wikipedia isn't always correct. Radio 1 still have Hold Me in the Dark playlisted and they only playlist official singles.

Which strongly suggests it wasn't a single in the UK...!

A single...!!

Then why do even The OCC refer to it as a Song

And FUFN as the third official single

Not a clue but Radio 1 and 2 go by songs issued as singles. Could totally imagine IT girl being issued to radio after it proved quite popular as an interim single ahead of FUFN's release.

It never was playlisted on Capital

Also why is Shotgun on Capital’s Summer Anthems playlist when it was never even playlisted

Edited by Sami Hook Jama

capital isnt a useful resource for single identifying at all. Radio 1 has some iffy calls too tbf. I think bauer stations are good sources of this but i can’t be 100% on that. Your independent local radio stations will be the best source to figure out what an artist is pushing ❤️

Radio 1 pretty accurate from years of following the playlist - they almost never snub singles from artists they continue to support. Radio 2 likewise are reliable, they only playlist singles (away from "tracks from album X" or any Radio 1 live lounge playlisting slots).

Capital has a history of playlisting occasional non-singles, on the other hand, but it's not super often.
