I don’t think the main station ever has, but Heart 00s does play Real Slim Shady, and I believe the above two tracks have been played on 10s (but only occasionally).

Drake was played occasionally in the early-mid 10s, Find Your Love and Hold On, We’re Going Home got some plays but I think they were only heard late night/early morning. The latter song would be a nice addition to Heart’s playlist, as well as One Dance.

i always found it quite peculiar that heart was always quite heavy on dodging rap, given they were fully alright with playing Nicki and (to an extent) Pitbull. would have thought Eminem and even Drake would have been fine to play. If we're on the rap topic tho, i know she's insanely problematic but god i would love to hear Azealia Banks - 212 become a heart club classic, it has fully deserved that title for the longest time.

Heart 00s have also played Without Me.

Heart 10s have also played God's Plan and Hotline Bling.

I think the rap aversion is a legacy from Heart’s older format (particularly around late 00s/early 10s) when there was a lot more music from 80s, 70s, as well as the odd 60s track (stuff like Build Me Up Buttercup, Stand by Me, etc.). Back then they’d go very far to remove rap from most songs, so you’d get edits such as Give Me Everything having no Pitbull whatsoever even though he is the song’s main artist! Once they’d dropped pre-90s music they started loosening up and including some of the more pop-rap artists like Pitbull, Flo Rida and B.o.B., but it seems they’re only now beginning to feature slightly heavier artists like 50 Cent and Kardinal on the main station.

YES! 🙌 I think the fact that the radio edit basically turns the song into morse code is probably why they’re hesitant to play it (more so than the rapping elements).

i remember the most inconvenient things… that i read like 5 days ago (it was around where i was looking to find if Eternity was actually considered for the playlist (it was) when the discussions about Eternity were happening and i was like “oh yea thats a really good way to pitch songs without being obnoxious”)
