Lewis with a new PB for Ferrari is very pleasing! Dominated Charles all weekend too which is a rarity. The entire McLaren team left their brains in Woking apparently. And Kimi is very close to baggi

Poor Pierre

Any chance this decision will get reversed? Surely Alpine/Gasly will appeal?

Knowing how this saga has gone so far I wouldn't be surprised if it's re-overturned again, and then back after the season and then once again when everyone's retired.

FWIW the most recent decision is the correct one, Hadjar should never have lost the podium in the first place. But the amount of fumbling it took to get there has soured everything about that result.

Most surprising pole position on an dry track since Fisichella Belgium 2009?

That indeed was one of the greatest drives I've seen in an absolute epic.

Not even close to one of the greatest drives. Probably not even Antonelli's best this year. It was good, don't get me wrong, but you put the best engine/battery package in the car with the best aero design, on a power circuit where it can breeze passed all opposition with ease, where there's minimal tyre deg and the high speed corners are taken at 40kph slower than last year and this is what you get. Antonelli is fast no doubt about that but not one driver bar Russell, made any real attempt to keep him behind because they all knew it was a lost cause.

There were a few genuinely good overtakes under braking but this was closer in Indycar style oval racing than F1, just without the same high speed corners, concrete walls and thin line of grip. And indycar is a spec series so is naturally closer in car performance.

The only real question was which Merc was gonna win. And the best driver did.

Well I didn't think it was only between the 2 Mercs at all. In fact the bookies had Kimi as the 8th favourite to win pre-race.

I was wondering if the Russell boos were because fans thought he had pushed Antonelli into the gravel?

The Italian fans always boo the biggest threat to anything Italian, like when they booed Max in 2022 and 2023 when he was fighting the Ferraris.
