You have rated the class of 2025. All of the commentary has been completed.

During the few weeks or so, I'll be counting down the results on who you have voted as your driver of F1 2025.

Enjoy.

Here's what happened last year:

treated like shit. I don’t think he’d have done worse than Franco. Hope he gets another shot

not given a fair crack of the whip at all but didn't do enough in the short time frame to suggest too much promise

Hard to rate as he wasn't given enough time. Seemed largely unremarkable but his replacement didn't justify the sacking. On track anyway.

YUKI TSUNODA

shame to see him go but I do think he could have done better. I don’t subscribe fully to the idea that the 2nd seat is doomed

completely exposed when expectations were raised, not even matching the likes of those who preceded him in an abysmal showing

Started the season in good form but found the Red Bull as much of a handful as others have. The tightness of the grid made the deficit to Max look far worse as his average Qualifying gap was only 0.5s but he never managed to get to grips and disappointed.

Average quali gap was still by a mile the worst between team-mates, even worse than Stroll's relative to Alonso.

Tsunoda's gap to Max was way better than Lawson's gap and Yuki's was much narrower when he actually made Q3. We'll never know if that delta of Lawson's would have improved however.

LANCE STROLL

showed flashes of pace. Was lucky to outscore Alonso earlier in the season. His qualifying in particular was shocking

not a terrible season by his low standards but to be completely whitewashed in qualifying is beyond embarrassing

Anonymous most of the season which is a step up from being his usual catastrophic self. A very average driver who really should make way. Expect him to be outclassed again next year whatever Newey deilvers.

FRANCO COLAPINTO

maybe I’m wrong but I don’t think he’s good enough at this stage

has not been too far off pace-wise from gasly but too often squandered the rare opportunities of the car challenging for points

No signs of improvement, occasionally close to Gasly but seemed to be on screen less often than Valtteri Bottas this season. If the money runs out so will his time.

LEWIS HAMILTON

fell further behind Charles as the season progressed. Sad to see

notwithstanding the machinery and time adapting to a new team it was a very underwhelming season with very few highlights

If ever a former champion looked like time was up, this was it. Deserves better than to be running near the back every week and if 2026 doesn't start well I can see him walking away mid-season.

Not a completely undeserved ranking there unfortunately, especially that tail off in quali pace at the end of the season.

ESTEBAN OCON

5.2

outshone by his teammate

a very sobering and humbling season getting beaten by a rookie teammate, showing very few glimpses of his obvious talent

It's probably time that team bosses started asking what exactly Esteban brings on his best weekends and if it's enough to justify the ordinary ones.

LIAM LAWSON

should never have been put in Red Bull seat. Did well enough in RB

negating his blink and you miss it red bull tenure, has been quietly solid at the sister team whilst remaining in the shadow of his teammate

Never though he should have been in the Red Bull and I can't fully see why Tsunoda got the boot over him for next year. Borderline defensive moves on occasion too.

Poor Liam Lawson - think it was me who left the comment saying he should never have been put in the Red Bull seat so soon

On a purely superficial level, his glow up this season turned my head!

Lawson he was bad done by Red Bull, and it was very brutal to be demoted back to Racing Bulls after just two races when in fact Yuki I think was much worse.

GABRIEL BORTOLETO

6.6

qualifying great (especially against a team mate known for qualifying well). Hopefully his race craft will improve in future seasons (the big points gap between him and Nico evidenced to me how he is lacking this atm)

very mixed bag, especially impressive in qualifying against a formidable teammate but laced in with some truly shocking mistakes

Didn't have it all his own way but bested Hulkenberg in Qualifying sessions they both entered (if you add Brazil which Gabi skipped it's a draw) but struggled on unfamilar tracks. Promising start.

PIERRE GASLY

6.6

decent enough in the worst car

did what he could in a horrendous car by capitalising on results when opportunities were available

Frequently popped up in 'how did Gasly do that' moments but the car never gave him opportunities to capitalise. I think the Renault chassis isn't the issue so next year's engine might help him shine.

ALEXANDER ALBON

7

some great performances, but with some dips

incredibly impressive in the first half but completely capitulated in the second, still his consistency at the start got the team off to a great start

Pendulum season for Albon. It began with him making Sainz look beneath him until the Spaniard made it swing the other way. They're a good pairing but time will tell which will dominate the other.

CARLOS SAINZ JR

7.2

poor start, great end

complete opposite of albon, well well below par initially before a couple of stunning drives dragged his season to an overall decent showing

Difficult start to the year and involved in some silly incidents both blameless and to blame but made some big results come his way in the latter half of the year. Could be de facto team leader next year.

KIMI ANTONELLI

7.4

promising start, sketchy middle, good ending

some incredible highs mixed in with serious lows but for a rookie he's certainly shown world champion potential

A largely impressive debut season marred only by a brief loss of form. Managed to be more effective at derailing Verstappen's title charge than the McLaren boys. Looks to have a promising future.
