It's now been 3-years since I posted a decade-to-date chart at the conclusion of my 2022 EOY chart.

I didn't want to resurrect my EOY thread this time so posting this separate thread. This will be my last update before the final decade chart is produced (mental that that's already a thought)

Here's a link to my first update below:

  24. (479-599) beabadoobee - Real Man

  25. (x-499-600) Lil Yachty feat. J. Cole - The Secret Recipe

Ten songs from 2025 make their debuts in the list coming from Lorde, Sabrina Carpenter, Leah Kate (x2), The Weeknd, Leon Thomas, J. Cole, Janet Devlin, Tate McRae and JISOO/ZAYN. I just discussed them in my EOY thread so I won't spend too much time on them.

Two songs make delayed debuts with Pink Pony Club not quite being as big of a hit that it's been officially and The Steps getting a tour boost to complete an epic journey to finally making an appearance.

The Secret Recipe kicks off the list. I love the looped beat on her and Yachty is better than usual but the Cole verse is really what makes the song. Real Man was a highlight from bea's recent album and the viral dance helped it land here. It feels at threat of dropping off next year. GHETTO GODS scraps in for a fourth year. Johnny Venus’s energy is infectious but Doctor Dot’s verse isn’t quite as good. Rover dates from 2020 which already feels like a lifetime ago music-wise. I can't imagine this being such a big hit, in my chart or officially, now. Ma Boy has a repetitive chorus that could easily be annoying but JID has a way at adding some nice flourishes to his work that always keeps it interesting. Another one that could be on its last legs.

The Song is the first appearance from my top album of the decade. This one comes from the deluxe. It will be interesting to see if her new album can match it. FIRST feels a bit overshadowed by EVERGLOW's big hit in my chart but its a bit of a catch-22 because that hit is what this rode the coattails of to make the chart in the first place. Come My Way and the whole 'Few Good Things' album are a bit unlucky in the sense that they were released in the middle of two 5/5 masterpieces by Saba that make this feel slight. Still a great vibe and its fun to see Krayzie Bone. Who the Hell Is Edgar? is the firs of four Eurovision tracks, all of which come from Liverpool 2023. It's a bit of a novelty and I haven't listened to it much since then.

can friends kiss? is from the excellent deluxe version of Camila's latest album and is stronger than most of the original track-list. Reasonable is pretty standard AJ Tracey but he can make these type of bops in his sleep so still lands. I got it bad feels lite after the fuller production of her debut album helped by Addison going properly legit. Still fun! Evil has some cringy lines (it is a modern day Em song after all) but it has a strong hook which I really love.

  25. (79-164-264-385-485-575) Ariana Grande & Justin Bieber - Stuck with U

Three songs from 2025 make their debuts in this section, coming from Reneé Rapp, Selena Gomez/benny blanco/Gracie Abrams and Kim Petras.

Making a delayed debut is BOBBY BOUCHER which has taken a long time to grow in my affections. After originally not finding it that notable when it was released on the 'RIP Human Art' EP, it really started to hit me with the album release and then finally found its way into regular scheduling last year.

Stuck with U is the first #1 hit to drop-out. A COVID charity collaboration from Ari and Bieber, it's very much a product of its time. Savior is the track from 'Mr. Morale...' that has really stuck with me. Keem has a memorable hook and Kendrick's verses are some of his best of the decade. Bubble Bath is another banger from AJ that wasn't helped by it's exclusion from the tracklist from AJ's recent album. Real Love is Gambino going basic-pop. It shouldn't work but it really does. Double Fantasy is a bit of a rehash of Weeknd's other recent hits but there's something about it that allows it to hit for me more than it should.

Halle has been a bit overshadowed by her sister's music but angel has some nice vocals that shows off her talent. Used to Know Me is based around an overused sample but I guess there's a reason so many people have used it. Voltage is one of two of ITZY's Japan-targeted releases to make the list. Holding really well for me. Can't Be Us is OFB's savage diss to 3x3 and sees the three most notable members coming together for what sounds like a victory lap. The video was removed from YouTube by the police but has been helpfully re-uploaded by someone else.

My 24th Birthday is as introspective as all of Dave's birthday series but it's not one I find myself throwing on regularly. Therapy is the second track from 'The Good Witch' to appear. Listening to her podcast, she revealed that she had never actually been to therapy at the time of this track. I don't think I can listen to it in the same way again. I really enjoy WILLOW's vocals on psychofreak but have never really vibed with anything else I've heard of hers. Humble Beginnings is a great slice of underground-rap. First time I've gone back to it in a while, I had forgot about it. I've never heard of anything else by any of them.

My Love's appearance is reminding me that I still need to check out Leigh-Anne's album. This was nice but not essential. Red Card is a fun posse-cut from Boy Better Know but Shorty's verse is a bit naff. Woi was not a popular song on this website but I got on with the repeated Woi adlib. Digga has some nice flourishes in his verses. I didn't really listen to party 4 u much in its recent resurgence. But that's because I had been spamming it after going back in Charli's discography after the release of 'Crash' to prepare for her tour in 2021.

Tate's tendency to release late in the year has cost her mutiple times in my EOY charts and we're not alike was no exception. Seeing her on two tours recently has helped it enter here. Take Your Mask Off is a cracking track from 'CHROMAKOPIA'. All the verses hit but Tyler's choice to direct the final verse to himself was a great choice that really elevates the song. How Does It Feel has a very unfortunate choice of feature but its still a pretty nice throwback R&B ballad. Unpopular opinion but I find Obsessed With You to be better than PinkPantheress's original track. Perfect length for what it is.

  24. (166-252-351-452-549) Ariana Grande - worst behavior

  25. (NE) Dove Cameron - Romeo

Seven songs from 2025 make their debuts in this section, coming from Dove Cameron, Maren Morris, Alessi Rose, Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift, Tate McRae & J Hus/Asake.

Back-to-back album tracks from Ari with worst behavior and don't break up again kickstarting the section. The former is maybe too short to be a true favourite while the latter is a similar length but packs more of a punch and I think it may climb the list in the future. Smoke From Fire is one I always enjoy when I listen to it but doesn't stick in my memory for long.

Hikikomori is a great sound for AJ. I might have to add this one back to regular rotation. The Last One is a fitting way to end the Good Witch era being the final track of the deluxe. There’s something bittersweet about this one. It already makes me feel nostalgic. COOL was the song that allowed to qualify in BJSC for the first time. It still bangs.

Trojan Horse is the first of three collabs between Dave and Central Cee. It probably has Cench's best verses from the EP. Passport Bros sounds perfect for the summer so its weird that it always seems to be winter when I listen to it. Speaking of Cench, Cole and Bas, H.Y.B sees all three come together for a pretty smooth track, naff alphabet line aside.

Tyler's long songs usually hit for me and WILSHIRE is great. Great storytelling that means the 8 minutes just flies by. Crown On My Head was my least favourite from the solo ITZY tracks on the BORN TO BE album but is still a solid effort. Don't Hit Me Right Now is a rare song that was originally released before 2020. Although the video wasn't released until that year that helps it land here. The whole 'Revenge of the Dreamers III' album is brilliant.

I love the distinction between the gentle verses and powerful chorus in good wife. I can't help but sing along. Baby and Charli's whole 'sell-out' era was so fun. A tad repetitive but sounds great in headphones. Yeah Yeah Yeah picks up a tour boost, just like every BLACKPINK related song last year. Fun album track.

m y , l i f e is the third Cole song of the section. 21 Savage always saves his best for when he's appearing with Cole and his verse is fire here. I love the interpolated chorus too. I'm sorry Mr Sounds but Song You'll Never Here is all about Maisie. Great choice to let her has the verses all to her own. Girls in the Hood has stuck around since 2020 but is having harsher drops now. Megan's music isn't really holding up well for me.

  25. (93-171-274-367-545-525) Jorja Smith feat. Popcaan - Come Over

Just two songs from 2025 make their debuts in this section, coming from Dove Cameron and Clipse.

Jorja has one of my favourite voices in music and I finally got to see her live for the first time last year which has helped Come Over be one of the 2020 songs that's holding the best. Skengman is a really moody track with heavenly production. I love when he lets loose out on the final verse. However, on the day I listen to this, Ghetts had just been sentenced to 12 years in prison for a hit-and-run which taints it massively. Boy Bye has chemistry overload between Ari Lennox and Lucky Daye. They both have brilliant voices but its the little spoken sections that sell the song. Five years later and I'm still not sure if I love or hate Pirate. Some parts of it sound great but other parts are just "I'm a pirate, yeah yeah, a pirate".

Ari and Able might be the greatest modern-day frequent team-up and off the table is another piece of evidence to why. As someone who isn’t capable of producing even a remotely listenable sound from my voice, watching the two of them in the Vevo Live video is just insane. Its crazy how easy it appears for The Weekend to sound like that. Supalonely is a rare song on this list that never made my weekly charts. Heard this live last year as BENEE supported Tate McRae. I'm still not keen on Gus Dapperton's verse (sorry). Little Mix show their power by getting Anne-Marie, of all people, an appearance here with Kiss My (Uh Oh). A sample that really works. Better Mistakes is not one I've gone back to a lot recently. I loved this Bebe album at the time but it hasn't proved to be the most memorable. Confetti is another album title-track and another one I should go back to more. Saweetie is a fun addition.

Abra sounds so good on the chorus of Dat Way but I'm not sure we needed his closing verse. Krept's verse is as punchy as ever but its one of the least bar-heavy verses I've heard from Konan, even if he does still manage a couple of memorable lines. Dance Again is a lite-bop from Selena. The 'Rare' album was the first big album of the decade in my chart with every track making my top 20 with this being one of the highlights. More Little Mix with Love (Sweet Love) really giving the girls a chance to show off their vocal ranges. They certainly had many a better hit in their career though. BRON has some great throwback production and Benny's flow hits so hard. I know a lot of people didn't enjoy Yuck (including Charli herself) but I still really enjoy the silliness.

Treat Me is the second #1 hit of my chart to drop-out. It really never should have made it to the top spot but it's beginning to hold up better than I was expecting. I've probably listened to it more in the past couple of years that I did in its first two years of release. Tate's Nelly-interpolation don't come back isn't a banger per-se but I enjoy the simpler production. 96 of My Life is a proper old-school track from Jme where he just lays out how his life has made him the man he is (or was in 2020) today with some very fun punchlines. Skin was Sabrina's response to Olivia Rodrigo's 'Drivers License' and saw her ride the drama to score her first UK chart success. It feels like such a long time ago now with the crazy past couple of years that she's had.

the way things go is certainly the prettiest song in this list and I just adore the whole vibe of the track. SG was certainly DJ Snake's attempt at a 'Taki Taki' pt.2 and its safe to say that the only reason it made my chart was become of the name LISA. Righteous is not a song I've kept in regular rotation but it's an incredibly sad and poignant song that still leaves a big impact every time I do hear it. After the disappointing last album, it makes the JAE5 bangers like Fortune Teller sound all the more better. It was so good to hear back on production for J Hus's recent Skepta collab. I'd forgot just how much Megan killed it in WAP until now. I haven't listened to it in ages and it sounded better than I was expecting it to.

  25. (x-270-343-422-500) Lorde - Solar Power

Just two songs from 2025 make their debuts in this section, coming from Madison Beer and ITZY.

Solar Power didn't prove to be a favourite to many Lorde fans but it's certainly one of my mine of hers. Love the build throughout the track and the release at the end. Culture is a great song but not too memorable. I didn't remember how it went until I put it on again for this. I forgot how good Hope You're Not Happy is! I've just got the vinyl for this album for my birthday so excited to give it a spin. Mount Rushmore is another song tainted by the recent actions of Ghetts. But Kano & Wretch 32 don't disappoint and show why they're considered UK goats and leave you feeling very content without a chorus. I've loved Sabrina's two recent albums but I will always be an 'emails i can't send' man at heart and Tornado Warnings is a massive moment from it. I'm so glad it was still part of the tracklist on her recent tour.

Your milage on All My Life may vary based on how corny you find children's choirs but it works for me. It's pretty hilarious that it's Durk making this type of song. Who knew how good Selena Gomez and Kid Cudi would sound together until A Sweeter Place? It still sounds fresh. Longevity Flow feels like an ironic title as it's having little longevity in my affections. Fun but not a classic. I feel like every Leah Kate song has one moment that makes me cringe and in the case of Nasty, it's the line "bulletproof panties". However, I constantly find myself being won over eventually and this one is so fun!

Hot Girl (Bodies Bodies Bodies) is one of Charli's least commercial tracks of the 2020s but I'm a sucker for her 'white girl' style of rap. The film it's from was ok but a bit overrated. UK Rap is the second of the Dave and Central Cee collabs and felt like the most 'pop' moment from the EP. Some nice punchline from Dave. what's your problem? is another album track from Tate. This one has a memorable melody and I missed it as it was dropped from the setlist of her recent tour. Suburban Legends was one of the vault tracks from 1989 and I haven't gone back to those at all much recently. Still sounds nice but it wouldn't have been a highlight on the original album. Addicted deserves to be higher. Jorja sounds amazing on it and the chorus is such an earworm.

Calling My Phone feels a bit forgotten for how big a hit it was at the time. It's a song that's completely made by its sample; although 6LACK's verse is very smooth too. Body was the first (and so far only) UK Drill #1 single. They're a frequent pairing but this is certainly their best team-up. Tion goes crazy on his verses and is a big part of why I prefer this to the remix. I would luv I LUV IT even more if it didn't have Carti. I don't find the chorus as irritating as many did, nor think it sounds like a Charli rip-off. Pusha dates from 2018 and was one of the few highlights from when I used to bother with Spotify's weekly discover playlists. It bangs but I had completely forgotten about is.

no body, no crime remains my stand-out from 'evermore'. Such a fun story with the chorus changing slightly each time. I didn't remember just how much LOUD actually snaps. The lyrics may be a tad too on-the-nose but Sofia sells it well. Stars from the Descendants franchise are running wild in this list! Combining both versions helps Sympathy is a knife reach this high on the list. Ari is obviously my queen but I'd honestly be more likely to throw on Charli's solo original nowadays. The 'hmm hmm' adlibs on sneaky are just too catchy. Pretty standard 21 fair but those are what awarded it with this placement.

Four songs from 2025 make their debuts in this section, coming from Reneé Rapp, Alessi Rose, JISOO and Taylor Swift.

Two songs make delayed debuts this year. head.rap was one of two great rap songs from 2025 about black people's hair. This one just has such a joyful vibe. It took the album release for me to realise just how much of a banger 2 hands is.

There's a few songs that are falling fast in this section, including XYZ. The sample does carry it a bit but SL sounds smooth as ever. Sabrina really was on fire during the 'emails...' era, just banger after banger, including bet u wanna. Dua's latest album was a bit of a stepdown from her previous era but Illusion has grown on me since her tour. Money is another song with a child's choir. Great flow from JID with his nostalgic views of wanting fame as a youth. Gut-punching music video.

There certainly isn't a song holding up worse than NASTY. Ashanti & Megan were necessary because DaBaby's parts are a mixed bag. Now That We Don't Talk is the second vault track from 1989. It feels much more 'Midnights' coded to me. I wish it was longer. Gone is a nice little ballad and much more ROSÉ's style than BLACKPINK's. Ruthless feels like a warm hug. Kacey sounds gorgeous and its just a really nice song. I'm so excited for her new era with a banger of a lead-single released today.

Crazy Over You is an album-track from BLACKPINK that always goes off in a live setting. It has a fun bridge! Midnight Rapture was my favourite discovery from my spell from entering into BJSC. I love her rap. Less Than Zero is a great song but I think it felt a tad underwhelming as it felt like we'd early heard this multiple times from Weeknd already at this point. Titanium is a massive banger and just shows that Dave could be releasing massive hits all the time if he really wanted to. Two minutes of pure coldness.

Houdini is an old-school Eminem lead-single. Some cringy lines but some moments of genius too. you're so cool has a really catchy chorus. Certainly one of Tate's best album tracks. My Oh My still sounds so good. DaBaby sounds much better than on his own track in this section. Don't Say Love is actually sounding really fresh to me now too. Leigh-Anne definitely has had the weakest singles of the three solo Mixers so far but I've still enjoyed her efforts.

Coast has been holding up very well for me. It's perfect for the summer months and its really making me wish that Haille would continue her music career. Overseas is probably D-Block Europe's best song (and biggest hit). Even Dirtbike LB doesn't sound too bad here. Cench's verse sounds unmixed but adds to the charm. St Tropez makes it back-to-back Young Adz. A popular choice on this website! This one heavily relies on the M.I.A. sample.

  24. (135-225-303-369-449) AJ Tracey - Little More Love

  25. (NE) YEJI - Air

Four songs from 2025 make their debuts in this section, coming from YEJI, Alessi Rose, Olivia Dean and Janet Devlin.

Little More Love is the 3rd #1 hit of the decade to appear. Another catchy chorus from AJ but not his strongest overall. 'Midnights' is my top Taylor album of the 2020s and Bejeweled is a highlight. I really enjoy the synths. Gucci Mane sounds so good on Pricey and very different from his usual style. Cole has some fun rhymes too. Tally is another album track from BLACKPINK and its certainly one of their most attention-grabbing ballads. The shock highlight on JU$T is Pharrell's chorus but Zach is a cool addition too.

betty sees Taylor tells us a tale of teenage romance and regret and its one of her most engaging narratives. Just a lovely track all-round. Physical took its time to grow on me but I'm fully on board now. The highlight is the bridge and this song was made for live settings. Boy isn't as polished as Maisie's later work but the signs of pop-bangerism was there. peekaboo was a different side from Kendrick and is just fun vibes. The SupaHotFire reference is crazy.

Constant Repeat is such an apt title because I was spamming this (and the rest of the album) in 2022. The outro is heavenly. Head Head Honcho is maybe not one I'm proud of being on this list. It's crude and cheap but that's the point. The production is so fun. cardigan bops along very nicely and has a really great melody. Very different vibe to the songs either side of it. One of which being Weird! which is another one that lives up to its title. It's really Leah doing what she does best: making cringe pop.

Kelly Price's vocals on Couldn't Be Done are insane and we could have done with them being used more. The Kanye-esque pitched sample is smooth as hell too. Us Against the World is the most 50 Cent song not made by 50 Cent. I'm surprised this sound hasn't had a sustained comeback yet. Tjay's whiney vocals shouldn't work on a gangsta sex-jam but Pop Smoke's smoothness just about sells Mood Swings. This one really worms its way into my head. Not many songs have as many prominent samples as Ego Death and still sound cohesive. Some more twigs wouldn't have went amiss.

With 'classic interpolations' being the trend of the early 20s, it was inevitable some would land with me and My Head & My Heart is one of those that did. You Signed Up For This is the title-track to Maisie's debut album and has a great energy to the verses which are stronger than the chorus. Sacrifice is certainly a song that ends at its highest point with a fun outro. Good but not as hard-hitting as I had remembered. Big Ole Freak dates from 2018 but I didn't heard it until 2020. It was Megan's first Billboard hit and deservedly so. I haven't listened to it for ages but its sounding pretty good today.

  24. (357-424) Eminem feat. JID - Fuel

  25. (NE) Kylie Cantrall feat. ILLIT - See You Tonight

Three songs from 2025 make their debuts in this section, coming from Kylie Cantrall/ILLIT, JENNIE and Dove Cameron.

Eminem has been a bit hit and miss of late but he and JID really bring the best out of each other with Fuel being a huge moment on the album. Busy Boy was my favourite album track from Chloe x Halle's album. I'm enjoying their solo careers but I would love them to join forces again. We have back-to-back Bas with [The Jackie] and 179 Deli. I feel like I'm the only person who remembers that the former was an official UK top 100 hit. Cole and Bas are always fun vibes and Tjay is alright on this one too. The latter was a more surprising collab with AJ Tracey making an appearance, He can really flow over any beat.

Dua Lipa is a generous queen, gifting Calvin Harris a 2020s hit in my chart with Potion. Thug actually slaps on this one too! Vigilante Shit is very moody and has a killer opening line. I love reputation and this is very reputation-coded. I adore justified. It's such an easy song to sing along with and Kacey sounds gorgeous as ever. Wayne is often considered to be the feature-GOAT and I Heard You're Married is good evidence on why. It shouldn't work but all his punches land.

Drake has not been a hitmaker in my charts in this decade with Lemon Pepper Freestyle being one of only two songs for him here. The sample is electric. Future Starts Now is so fun with great production. I can't believe she (for a time anyway) scrapped the era after this. Another back-to-back set of tracks, this time for Bebe Rexha. The Break My Heart Myself era already feels like an age ago. I enjoy her delivery on it though. I'm Not High, I'm In Love was a nice disco moment from her too. One hit wonder alert with Austin. A nice little slice of country-pop but it did get overplayed.

Let Them Know is a song that's ageing much better than I had anticipated. It felt like a Dua-clone at the time but feels fresher now that sound isn't as prominent. Airplane Mode feels more like a NSG song than Nines but it's still a banger. The hook is brazy. They didn't need to go as hard as they did for a Netflix soppy novel adaptation but I'm glad they did as Come Back Home is a bop. The pre-chorus is my highlight. Who had 1/4th of Cover Drive teaming up with Kendrick for a song? Not me, but for the 'mainstream' moment from Kendrick's least-mainstream album, it worked well.

I have nothing to say about the whole Common/Pete Rock album. It's perfection and the only reason Fortunate isn't more dominating is because the project is more of a whole piece rather than a collection of singles. Dove makes it a hat-trick of back-to-back artists with LazyBaby being from back before her rebrand. It's deletion from Spotify isn't helping it here. Brooklyn hit so much harder now that I'm a Maisie stan and know about (her sister) Ellen through the podcast. Bugzy and Chip aren't quite the UK Biggie and Tupac, despite what the song wants you to believe but it was still so cool to see the pair squash their beef on Notorious. And goonies vs E.T. is just goes hard. Great instrumental and Killer Mike and El-P sound so good. The lyrics are great and the hook is banging.

  23. (353-398) Ariana Grande - true story

  24. (NE) AJ Tracey feat. Jorja Smith - Crush

  25. (330-400) AJ Tracey - Joga Bonito

Six songs from 2025 make their debuts in this section, coming from AJ Tracey/Jorja Smith, Taylor Swift, Tate McRae, Dove Cameron, MINNIE & JISOO.

Joga Bonito is a proper summer bop from AJ Tracey. The only issue is that is so short! true story is the first of two Ariana album tracks in this section. It works well on the album as a kind of intro into 'the boy is mine' but its also works well in its own right. Single Soon has had a heavy drop this year. I remember thinking it was a fun comeback at the time but it hasn't stuck around as hell as her older material. Digging as one of my favourite live performances in the VEVO live video. Her vocals are insane and the particular video is just so joyous.

I'm not usually massive on piano ballads but Glimpse of Us is just really lovely. Happy is slightly petulant and the Eminem interpolation is forced but I still end up loving it a lot more than I should. Throat Goat is more basic-pop but its annoyingly catchy and the huge standout on 'Slut Pop'. Hearing it live was an experience. Cudi is cool on The Adventures of Moon Man & Slim Shady but it's all about the Eminem feature. He makes the flow sound so simple and, aside from a couple of groan-worthy lines, the majority of the bars really land.

There's a real nice bounce to Love To Hate Me that I enjoy. JISOO's English verse and Lisa's rap are highlights. love language is the other Ariana album track of the section and has an outro that I adore. The jazziness really works and I'm glad she revisted it on the deluxe version of her lastest album. Sweetest Pie sure has a maximalist video! Dua slays her chorus but the Megan verses are just ok. The title undersells just how epic Stellar really is. Such a throwback with Pete Rock nailing the production style of his 'heyday'.

I had forgot just how much of Bebe work this decade I've really enjoyed and Heart Wants What It Wants has a disco sound that really suits her. It was nice to hear 21 in his R&B bag but I never really listen to Secret anymore. Paak's hook on Feel No Pain is so smooth and the way Gibbs and Raekwon ride the beat is perfect. It just feels so nice on the ears. The shot of Kacey floating in the air is how I felt after hearing Cardinal live the other year. Absolutely heavenly.

Lauren's vocals sound great ant the VIC MENSA verse is cool but Scattered has just not been on my radar at all recently. IT GIRL is really fun. It could have easily been obnoxious but Aliyah has enough charm to sell it. I can easily hear why this was popular on TikTok. Released on my birthday, Madison's 'Life Support' album, more than any other, really defines a period of my life. It was when I was struggling the most with mental health and songs like Stay Numb And Carry On really resonated with me. I have so much love for the album but its heard to separate it from that context.

  24. (316-374) Chappell Roan - Femininomenon

  25. (390-375) Tate McRae - It’s ok I’m ok

Only one song from 2025 makes a debut in this section, coming from Janet Devlin.

Doing something rare and climbing year-on-year, It's ok I'm ok originally felt like a disappointing lead single from Tate but, with the brilliant album, it has grown on me loads. I honestly haven't fully clicked with any of Chappell's newer releases but there's some bangers on that album. I can see Feminomenon being annoying for many but I love it. opposite is a bit of a slower one from Sabrina but the vocals in the post-chorus are lovely. Never Lose Me is one that I can't help but sing along to. Fire instrumental, great flow and the vocals don't sound too bad either. Definitely Flo Milli's best song.

There's just something about the MC/legendary producer team up albums in this decade. Black Thought is cool as hell on Violas and Lupitas but Danger Mouse kills the production. Weird sounds but works very well. LUNCH is Billie's best song, fight me! I quite liked this album on the whole to be fair. Unbreakup is sounding surprisingly great. A bit rockier and more serious than most of her other work. I love the video to Live and Jme and ACE have great chemistry going back and forth. Really underrated.

Angelic voice with the dirtiest lyrics is a winning combination. P*$$Y Fairy (OTW) is too catchy with the hooks. Queen of Kings is the best possible version of an Ava Max song coming from Alessandra. This is what a Eurovision song should all be about. I loved the other single from the album so much that I don't think I've given BORN TO BE enough respect. Feels a bit EVERGLOW. Hard to Love is the ROSÉ solo moment on 'BORN PINK'. I love the bassline and I always enjoy when she goes poppier.

The Tyler verse isn't as epic as the Wayne verse on the other track but I dig the vibe of this song so much. Here We Go... Again is the perfect transition between the Weeknd's older R&B sound and the dance-pop of recent times. I love the sound that Madison has found for herself but there's something special about this era. I love the darker, melancholic sounds she experimented with on Stained Glass. I love Bit Bitter and it would be so much higher if I didn't have to fish out my Record Store Day exclusive deluxe vinyl any time I wanted to hear it in a decent format. The Ghetts verse is so good on In The Fire that it feels illegal it's next to that dud Giggs verse. The divine production really takes you to church.

NEON PEACH is one of the coolest songs of the decade. Tyler kills the production and his verses while Snoh's vocals would work over anything. There's something about the looped beat at the start of family ties that just gets me so hyped. Kendrick's verse is amazing (brother). JID and EARTHGANG is a team-up that never disappoints. Can't Punk Me has so much energy with Doctur Dot providing my favourite verse. Saweetie and Doja's friendship anthem, Best Friend has a memorable chorus and Doja has some fun flows.

Can't Catch Me Now is Olivia's folky effort from The Hunger Games soundtrack. Half the song can be described as pleasant but when she lets out the passion and vocals on the bridge it leaves you floating. Dua was on fire during the Future Nostalgia era. The INXS sampled triplet beat on Break My Heart is extremely catchy and not too obvious. Really good use of sampling. Nicki's fall-off will be studied for generations. Her 'boosting up other female rappers era' was fun and the interplay between her and BIA on WHOLE LOTTA MONEY is really enjoyable. Die for a Man was an unexpected collab but Uzi works better than you'd imagine next to Bebe.

Four songs from 2025 make their debuts in this section, coming from Tate McRae, Taylor Swift/Sabrina Carpenter, Megan Moroney and Reneé Rapp.

Please come back to music, Hailee. I wasn't overly familiar with the original version of I Love You's (nor the Annie Lennox version that made it popular) which helped me get on board with this one. Happiness feels like it was from a different time, certainly more 2010s than 2020s but one of Little Mix's best album tracks from their later projects. The Good Witch my beloved. Such a joy listening to BSC. While Griff never became as big as she was touted to be, she will always have a massive banger in Black Hole. Gloomy lyrics with upbeat production is an ever-popular tactic and it works so well here.

Angry Woman is a rocky moment from Ashe. It was a #1 hit in my chart but she does have better tracks. Some really nice vocal effects. Can't Tame Her felt like a one-time comeback for Zara before her recent re-revival. This is so ‘La Di Da’ coded that would almost feellike a rip-off it that one wasn’t already jumping off Th Weeknd and Dua Lipa's sound of the time. Hot In It rode the Charli XCX wave of the Crash era to become a hit in my chart. It's a bit repetitive but Charli's such a star. Closer is holding up so much better than other songs here. I wasn't sure on the H.E.R. chorus at first but now I love it. Love some of Saweetie's flows on the second verse.

Somebody was a poppy moment from Chlöe but she kills this and its a sound she should explore more. There's about 4 different hooks and they are all catchy as hell. I enjoy the retro vibes on MOONLIGHT SUNRISE. I enjoy listening to it but I don't think about is when it's not on. Love Story is the one Taylor's Version that has become a hit in my chart. Mainly because I didn't appreciate enough on original release and I think the re-recorded vocals really improve it. Body Do has so-so verses but the falsetto chorus is such a vibe. I don't think anybody was screaming for Marshmello to produce an post-humous Juice WRLD track but Come & Go ended up being a banger. I'm not a fan of how they've dropped every bit of juice out of Juice's recordings since.

I love the production on ROLLIN and Recchio's vocals sound great. One of his recent best. Hornet's Nest was a poppy moment on the Ashe album but it took a while for the 'drink he arsenic' not to sound forced to my ears but now I'm on board. What a way to open your debut album brutal was. I bet how rock-orientated Olivia's music has been caught so many people off guard on their first play of the album. The riff is so fun. There's some great vocals on the choruses on Gloves Up, especially Perrie's on the first chorus. This could have easily been a late-in-the-run album single from them.

Cench's first UK hit remains his (solo) best. The beat on Loading is insane and definitely one of the best UK drill has produced. LIA was my bias in in ITZY but her being on hiatus when the album with Blossom was released that didn't help its cause. The chorus is so salty and suits her voice perfectly. Is Solo a cheap Britney copy? Maybe. Was she trying to be the new Eleni Fouiera? Certainly. But I still couldn't resist its charms. I prefer the studio version to the Eurovision performance. Addison certainly heard 'Break the Rules' before she recorded it could've been u. It's fun but nowhere near the quality of 'Diet Pepsi' or 'Fame is a Gun'.

  23. (NE) Tate McRae - Miss possessive

  24. (191-262-324) Hailee Steinfeld - SunKissing

  25. (NE) Sabrina Carpenter - Busy Woman

Three songs from 2025 make their debuts in this section, coming from Sabrina Carpenter, Tate McRae and Stormzy.

I don't know what it is about SunKissing but the word I'd use to describe it is nostalgic. Not for any particular time, it just suits a reflective mood. simple times leans into the emotion more explicitly. It such a relaxing listen as well which makes the video all the more odd. The third song in a row with a similar vibe, I Wanna Love You (But I Don't) is another that feels like it should be the backing for a movie flashback montage. The powerful vocals in the chorus is what give it an extra oomph. I love the slightly melodramatic style of songwritting on Emotional Bruises. I was just on board with everything Madison was doing on that album.

Imagine having a song as good as baby pink in your back pocket and only releasing it as a deluxe track??? The hyperpop elements work so much better here than on the Carti collab. I'd never heard of Eem before this but his verse is a cool addition. Have you ever had a song that became so overplayed that you forgot that you actually originally loved it? I think I'm finally at a point where I can begin to appreciate Save Your Tears again. The chorus of Die Today has been stuck in my head for three years straight now. Great video and the two of them really know how to make a vibey track that makes you feel good. Dance Now is a great example of how electric JID is on a mic. You never know what direction he's going to go in next.

I liked the original fully-Spanish version of tqum but it was the Kim Petras remix that made it smash for me. Some of my favourite vocals from her too. Shower With My Clothes On is definitely the sort of track where the whole audience would have their phone lights on swaying away. The video is really effective at selling the message too. Everything just works so cohesively here. It's clear why I Dunno because such a big hit. The chorus is undeniably catchy (and very meme-able), dutch has a great voice for this type of track and Stormzy was at the peak of his powers. Charli's effort for the Barbie soundtrack, Speed Drive works well in the film for the car chase. Sampling 'Mickey' was certainly a choice but there's enough energy for it to work.

walking in the snow has some of the hardest hitting lyrics of the decade. The verses are genuinely powerful, especially when you consider the context of the time it was released. And then they're able to contrast that with Gangsta Boo (RIP) having one of the funniest outros in any song for years. Anti-Hero feels like it was the true start of Taylor's dominance. I think it's genuinely improving with age for me. The infectious, garage-inspired track Little Things is Jorja's biggest hit this decade. The little run in the outro is gorgeous. The 6LACK chorus on Still Dreamin is one of my faves of recent times. The verses are so laidback which makes it such a smooth listen. I don't smoke but it feels like it would be the sort of song that would be perfect to blaze up to.

J Hus and Burna Boy is a combo that just works. Play Play sees Hus just have some fun, throwing in as many gun metaphors as he can to describe his lady. JAE5's light, summery production (with added whistles) can't go unmentioned. Taylor has never been particularly known for her vocal ability but the strength she applies for the titular phrase on Who's Afraid of Little Old Me? is a huge highlight. It's a song that has really been boosted by its usage on the Eras Tour. jealousy, jealousy was a standout track from Olivia's debut album. The bridge has a really cool sound which she developed on some of the tracks from her sophomore. I am READY for the third album now. Roll on June!

From an Olivia Rodrigo song to one that's largely about her, because i liked a boy was the moment where I went from a casual Sabrina fan to a proper, dedicated stan. One of her best ballad-y tracks. Speaking of Sabrina, 'The Good Witch' walked so 'Short n' Sweet' could run. I just adore Maisie's style of songwriting and her wit is on full display on You're Just A Boy (And I'm Kinda The Man). A lot can be said about modern day Kanye but one think I'll never tire of is his production style. He may not have actually produced this one but it's a clear aping of his trademark pitched-sample style and evokes the nostalgic feel. Especially with the Eazy-E flip. DJ Premier's scratches add a lot too. Kanye's verse caused controversy but it's also what makes the song work. You wouldn't actually notice if The Game wasn't on this track.

  25. (NE) Gracie Abrams - Risk

Seven songs from 2025 make their debuts in this section, coming from Gracie Abrams, Saba/No ID, Lorde, Kylie Cantrall, Alessi Rose, Sabrina Carpenter and Dave/Tems.

Out of the recent bunch of Scouse rappers to make the charts, Still Brickin' is definitely the one that sounds the best to me. Pump 101 is the second track from a UK artist that heavily relies on your affection for 50 Cent with this reworking 'Stunt 101' by G-Unit. Speaking of such songs lol. The Woo features 50 Cent after he executive produced Pop Smoke's album after his tragic passing. I think most people have forgot just how massive that album was. I'm more likely to listen to 'Mood Swings' not but appreciate that this was the best way to lead the album. Miss Me felt like a non-#1 in my charts at the time, relying on the glory of their past team-ups but I've ended up going back to it loads in the past couple of years. Look at its recent holds: it's dropped 54 places over two years after originally dropping 71 places in 2022.

Reworking 'Butterfly' by Crazy Town, Ain't It Different saw three of the biggest names of UK rap join forces at the time of the peak of their chart success. I like Headie's verse but its AJ that steals the show for me. 911 makes it two songs I love that mimic the sound of police sirens for the chorus. I'll be raving the next time one goes past. Lil Wayne's song still clears though. I really love the long build in Jail. You're constantly waiting for the drop and it just never comes (aside from some brief cymbal action). Jay's 'selfie' line is weak but the rest of the verse is solid. I think time will finally let us admit that some of the disses on Not Like Us aren't that strong (other vaginal option, calling PARTYNEXTDOOR a drug user) but what makes it such a lethal diss is that its a certified club classic. And that was Drake's whole schtick for a while.

Boyfriend was a #1 hit in my chart in 2020 and feels like a bit of a hangover from the 2010s era of my chart. It already sounded a bit dated then but now we're a bit removed from the time, it's sounding fresh again to me. Maybe it's just nostalgia for a different time. Talk talk is a relatable song about having a crush. The ecstasy of the outro is what elevates it from a nice album track into something special. Fkn Around is what I think other people must be hearing when they listen to Steve Lacy. It has such a funky mood and the lead singer's vocals are like silk. Megan dominates the song when she comes in, it's definitely some of my favourite work from her. Judging by the video, a fun time has had by all making this song.

Drake's not had a great decade and it feels funny having him appear in the same section as 'Not Like Us'. I'd probably just listen to 'Superman' now but I did enjoy hearing his Eminem flip on Chicago Freestyle. I forgot how much I liked Lucky. It has a nice melody, fun production and decent break-up lyrics. Just a really solid pop song. Mine sees us reach the halfway point for the solo tracks on ITZY's 'BORN TO BE' album. It's quite groovy and it comes from who I would have said was my least favourite member. AJ is all over this section with Yumeko being his third song. His signature flow just works for me and the chorus here demands to be sang-along with. Such a unique, playful beat that would still be fire without AJ over it.

How can a 2-minute interlude be so epic? i n t e r l u d e only consists of one short verse but it certainly packs a punch. It turns out this is Leah's section as well as AJ's with Super Over also being her third entry. This was the title track to her debut album and is exactly what she excels at. Fun pop music that always has a memorable chorus. Sorry Kendrick but you don't have the best diss song in this section as the catchily-titled Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53 takes the crown. I have no idea what Shakira is saying but I know that she is murdering Pique. Not Shy was ITZY's 2nd #1 hit in my chart and is a great reminder of why LIA was originally my favourite member. Her parts are easily the highlights in this track. A lot of the rest could have easily been seen as annoying.
