To celebrate 20 years of BuzzJack, Girls Aloud - “Whole Lotta History (Ash Howes Mix)” has been chosen as our anniversary campaign song!

As a fun activity we’re aiming to see how high up BuzzJack members can get this song charting in the UK iTunes chart. Please feel free to take part!

So far it has peaked at #91 on Sat 7th March - can we get it any higher?

If you’re interested and can afford it, it costs 99p on iTunes. Search “Whole Lotta History Ash Howes Mix” in the iTunes search bar and it is the first track on the Whole Lotta History EP.

The reasons for selecting Whole Lotta History: a thread was made in The Lounge to suggest which song to choose. The majority of members felt like Whole Lotta History was a fitting choice for a few reasons: it was a hit 20 years ago this month in March 2006, Girls Aloud were and still are a popular artist on this forum, and the title represents how this forum has a whole lotta history behind it!

This year on Saturday 7th March, we have chosen Girls Aloud 'Whole Lotta History' as our Buzzjack 20th Anniversary Song. I hope that you get behind this. This will be taking place from 12pm (UK Time). Plus it is 20 years since this was released from them it would peak at #6 in the UK becoming their 12th straight UK Top 10 single. Girls Aloud would go on to have 21 consecutive UK Top 10 singles, I don't think that you'll see that again in your lifetime.

Wouldn't it be great if we could get this back on iTunes in the Top 200 or better.

25 hours and a bit to start downloading - tomorrow it is exactly TWENTY YEARS since BuzzJack was launched, a community that has brought so much escapism, friendship, information and joy to many of us.

I know I will be celebrating with a download of this beautiful, underrated single. Hard to believe it is also two decades old.

What are your favourite memories of 2006, and do any of them include BuzzJack?

I remember posting my personal chart on here back then, and lots of chatter about Daz Sampson doing Eurovision, no doubt those odds threads are fun to look back on when I thought he had a shot at top ten on the night!

Certainly is a great idea to alert the once a week visitors.
