Oh yes, Cheryl has 2 #1 albums in the UK. I just want her team to go harder but one of the insiders from Spice Circle said that there won't be new physical variants this week which is a bummer.

I mean even Claire Richards got a #2 album!

I'd love a top 3 as its hard to believe no solo spice has gone top 3 and I'd assume most people would think Northern star managed it.

Most people are shocked when they hear that Spice Girls never had a solo top 3 album (including many on here), I think many assume both Melanie C and Geri have done it with their big hits. It's a reflection of the times that they both had double (and triple) platinum albums, yet charted at #4, would for sure have been #1s in this current climate. ❤️

Yeah it feels somewhat wrong that albums like northern Star, Schizo and Free me, which had success and impact didnt do as well as people think they did.

Bless them though, they were fighting an upheal battle. By 1999 the press was totally against them and they were seen as jokes so the solo projects were successful dispite that, which is in itself an achievement.

All things considered, they did well. Solo girlband artists don't usually do as well in the UK, bar Cheryl I guess, and Mel C and Geri. Melanie has proven it is possible to keep going and thats kudos to her!!

Most people would probably be shocked to learn Northern Star initially debuted at #10!

Although it ended up having a very different trajectory from VB.
