SongDNA is a new feature in Spotify that’s currently being rolled out, and it basically shows the “DNA of a song” 🎧🧬

What SongDNA is

SongDNA is a feature inside Spotify that lets you see everything behind a track, not just the artist name.

For example, on songs that support it, you can see:

• who produced the track

• who wrote it

• collaborators (vocalists, engineers, etc.)

• samples used in the song, just like on WhoSampled; songs that were sampled, covers and interpolations, other tracks connected to it

So instead of just listening to a song, you can explore how it’s connected to other music.

1. Play a song

2. Scroll down on the now-playing screen

3. A card called SongDNA appears

4. Tap it to see all the details about the track
