I'm not sure how many people here listen to Tricky (I think he came last in a BJSC semi once loool) but I'm like obsessed with his often slightly bizarre production style and the vocalists he uses. He has been one of the most interesting artists for me to explore over the past few years. And I really loved his last album under the Tricky moniker, Fall To Pieces (2020), which really felt like a mood piece, with short, chilled songs.

Curious about 'Piano' as he already has a song called that from the album Pre-Millennium Tension (1996) so I'm wondering if it's the same song re-worked or a new song!

it's not the first time he collabs with Polish singer, nice!

I love some of his work, "Passion of the Christ" and "Time to Dance" are my favs. Ofcourse all his Massive Attack music is flawless

Nearly forgot this is out but I had a listen now. Some people are saying it's his best since Maxinquaye (1995) and while I definitely wouldn't go that far, it's an interesting enough listen. He has definitely somewhat moved away from the intensely dark, complex and claustrophobic soundscapes of those early albums, this album is more melodic but at times didn't really feel like a Tricky album.

Most of the tracks are short and they tend to end somewhat abruptly, I'm guessing this has been a stylistic choice of late to fit with the more 'immediate' feel of his newer music. It feels simpler than his older music, but I still like it and will probably always be interested in what he puts out.
