Done. For now I've just added all the links of the missing contests and updated the alphabetical song list (which I hope is complete as it seems a little short for 19 contests but maybe I'm wrong). Ideally you would also see where each song placed and who sent it without going into the links, maybe one day I'll add all that.

'You Never Come Closer' is from a Swedish album from 1970! The second song with psychedelic influences from 1970 that I've sent to a song contest haha - the first of course being Linda Perhacs - Parallelograms in BJSC 179. The entire Doris album is fun actually, but there's different styles on it and there isn't really anything else quite like 'You Never Come Closer' on it. Similarly to Linda Perhacs, the album received more attention after it was re-released in 1996. Doris passed away in 2023.

This would be cool, kind of like a variation on the lottery themes but specifically about lead instruments / genres. I would love to be assigned something where I have to dive into the depths of the music world a bit Or at least some kind of more unexpected instrument like a harp, a theremin, a cor anglais or a Chinese pipa!

Voted. Thank you ears for sticking with me. Just like in the BJSC semi, I took three songs from 'maybe', which means only my top 7 were songs I actually really liked. Not that I dislike the lower end of my votes but I would've been fine not voting for them haha.

I really enjoyed both movies! I hadn't seen the first one but the cinema I mostly go to had a showing of that too a month ago.

Ear update: My ear has been open for a lil while now so I better get to listening before it blocks again 😆 Seems like it might actually stay open for a while this time, it's like a miracle x (I will still book an appointment though - maybe I can get it done sooner if I tell them I take part in many song contests which require me to listen to a lot of music hehe)

I was just saying in a chat the other day that I don't mind that much how I do in online song contests, so my current frustration is unexpected even for me lol. But it sounds like if I'd had some people from the opposite semi in my semi, the song would've gotten quite a bit more support. I was gonna send my second Estonian-language entry next but I found something else the other day that I'll probably send first as it sounds like something that someone else might get to, which never happens to me And I do think that will qualify.

Oh... Yeah I still don't really know what I'm doing with this contest... The amount of DNQs I've had over the years is actually somewhat ridiculous to look back on (which I've been doing in my national thread).

And then there's me over here having to take three songs from the 'maybe pile' 🫠 Meaning I wasn't exactly jumping to vote for my 3, 2 and 1 pointers, but they were all good enough at least. The highs were very high for me though

Nah, doesn't help. It's a recurring problem I have. I've had to get an ear syringing or whatever quite a number of times.

Just a little heads up, I was definitely going to do my final listens today and tomorrow (and I definitely need more listens before voting, I don't think I've even heard all the songs) but one of my ears keeps getting blocked due to wax since a few days ago, which makes listening to music very uncomfortable. It keeps opening up and then closing again (it was better yesterday and earlier today), I use drops and I just hope it opens up again for long enough to enable me to listen properly and vote. (I won't be able to book a wax removal appointment in time) Truly annoying. I hope I can listen reasonably and vote. 🤞 #earwaxawareness
