Yeah I'm sorry, there's no need of course. I do sometimes feel like I should just keep my mouth shut as much as possible. But then the spiral starts in my head where I'm like: okay, I should express myself, BUT I don't want to hurt or insult people ever, BUT if I don't speak my mind then people think I don't have opinions and am on the fence all the time, BUT I don't have to worry about people's opinions or perceptions so much, BUT other people's perceptions can have important consequences, etc. etc.

This is my favourite out of all the ideas! Very clear, to the point and likeable. Songs from the 20th century that bring people joy! (Not that I can figure out what the pun is )

I remember there used to be talk of doing a 'worst songs' BJSC spin-off. Not sure how much I like the idea in itself but I had the perfect song for it lmao and it has since been removed from YouTube 😔 It was called 'Less is More' (apt!) and even the video was ridiculous. It had some likeability though as it was catchy, it just sounded so generic and off 😆

And is The Best Song Contest in the World... Ever! really the best song contest in the world ever? 😅 Typing out the title every time certainly makes me want to cringe. Sorry to whoever came up with it. I'm still working on finding a suitable short-hand version / nickname for it that I can use haha. Maybe just 'Best Song Contest' 🤔 lol

Other songs I considered entering: The Knife - Neverland (so it was interesting to see them show up here anyway) Thom Yorke - Harrowdown Hill Long list I know lol. There were others I thought of very briefly but swiftly moved on.

I love Puracane, I had two songs by them as song contest potentials in particular, the other is from 2009 so wouldn't have fit here but I'm still considering sending it to BJSC sometime, screw self-imposed rules around self-recycling tbh I might wait til next year at least haha. There's also a guest vocalist on 'Warzone' by the name of Martina Topley-Bird who some of you might recognise from her vocal work with Tricky on albums such as Maxinquaye, as well as a few solo albums. I just love how the two women's voices interact with each other throughout the song, it creates such a cool vibe when combined with the beats.

Well, that felt like it took absolutely ages to catch up from page 6 onwards 🥲 I was low energy all day yesterday and think I just needed time for myself to do other things (mainly sleep x). But it was fun to catch up. Congrats Assy! 😄 A lovely song and glad to point a winner highly this time ❤️ I spy exactly one 18 for Deandria - thanks Frank, and everyone else who pointed it! I'm actually surprised to finish in 16th place, which is the second highest since my return ('Timekiller' came 14th). The song had no real hype or anything so I was kinda expecting another result in the 30s. Scotland 2 are proving to be a big favourite for me! Looking through my votes in my doc, I see that since my return I've given them two 18s, a 15, a 13, and also a 12 for a DNQ ❤️ Thanks very much DaTilt for hosting!
