Type A contestant π€ (also most likely Enneagram 3w4) I may not know charts or BJSC but I know psycho-spiritual theories of the human experience! πͺπ€£

BOP IDOL 5 - One Hit Wonders - The Results
This results show inspired me to listen to Lamb's Fear of Fours album (odd title but it was inspired by their avoidance of 4/4 time signatures on this album) and my god, this track never fails to bring me into some sort of strange musical bliss. I'd love to maybe enter it to BJSC someday.

Right, thanks. I'll have to note this down for myself for the future π

Is it bad that I feel like I almost never understand any of your references π© It's hopeless at this point, I need to accept that my place is lowkey under a rock π

I just love how someone potentially got a book recommendation from this thread

'Passing Strange' by Ellen Klages. I read the Kindle version. It may not be the best fiction book out there lol but I kinda picked the first one that seemed intriguing enough as I'm not very good at picking fiction! I'm so used to reading non-fiction that I'm a bit lost when it comes to trying to find fiction. π

Maybe that's the mistake I'm making - I often read complex psychology books π€£ Although I did enjoy a fiction book about a group of San Francisco lesbians in the 1940s recently π

Gosh, I love this - wish I could browse BuzzJack like that! Any time I take to read my book is good as I take so long to get through books lmao!

I really recommend Lamb albums btw if you're into that sort of stuff - especially maybe the first three. They had such an intriguing, adventurous and sometimes challenging sound. 'GΓ³recki' was their top 40 hit in the UK but they are also known elsewhere for 'Gabriel', another beautiful song.

BJSC 180: Green Room
Hopefully I can get my third consecutive qualifier in this contest for the first time. As has been planned for a while, I'm entering the 'Estonian Alanis Morissette' (not Kerli) with her band and a song that has a slightly amusing title. (Yes I still think Alanis is cool even though it ain't 1995 x)

RESULTS: BJSC 179 β’ The Final
Omg I have to start heading for my bus so I don't have time to read the last couple of pages (thought I'd have time this morning to read everything π), but I will as soon as possible. Some people don't like my long posts (same sometimes x) but I did note down several things I wanted to say. Big congrats to Rich! I had indeed heard the song once or twice before and really liked it, and I did predict it to win. And I am actually really happy that an Estonian artist won with a really good Estonian-language song! I had planned to send an Estonian song to next contest regardless - and now somehow it feels even more appropriate in a way. π When catching up, I actually prematurely saw that FSR Rontvia had won as I saw your new signature! π But it was still fun to watch things unfold. I was shocked at getting quite a few medal positions (I'll have to check later how many) - especially from Persephonia! I really didn't think BrΓ© liked it that much haha. Thanks to all the voters. I'm happy with 22nd for this slightly bizarre entry! My top 2 finishing next to each other though (too low x). Thanks Jade for a wonderful hosting job and for entering such a beautiful song!
