Posted May 29May 29 Over the years I became a bit of a lapsed Drag Race fan - I sort of kept up to date, but hadn't really watched a US series properly since Season 14 and the last season I massively paid attention to was Series 6 of the UK. I'd watched a couple of episodes of Series 7 and a few other bits, but my interest wasn't there as I think I had a bit of fatigued. However, I started watching Season 18 properly and then found out I could get the World of Wonder App on my Firestick, so have been massively binging old Season’s and catching up with other’s. The last few weeks I’ve re-watched Season 1,7,12,13 and 14! I don’t think I’d ever actually watched 13 properly before but by and large enjoyed it – however the fact no one leaves until like show 4 is silly, same with the double save of Symone and Kandy. The final was flat as hell though and barring Symone, everyone seemed to flatline the lipsyncs. 14 had some great queens too, I still don’t get Jorgeous – but then I haven’t seen either of her All Star runs yet, so my opinion might change. I started Season 6 last night – mainly as I wanted to refresh myself with Vivacious and April before watching All Stars 11 (which I guess shouldn’t take too long). I’d forgotten how many good queens in Season 7 there was too – although the elimination order is still crazy! I also watched Season’s 15 and 16 for the first time. I enjoyed 15 for the most part, although I’d say Anetra was robbed; she was such an excellent, funny Queen. Sasha was good, but Anetra had ‘IT’. Season 16 however I thought was awful; saved largely by Dawn! There were so many either unlikeable Queens, or Queens or were so meh that it became difficult to watch. Loosing Hershii so early didn’t help either, but Plane Jane, Q and Plasma just made it quite draining to watch. Nymphia I found largely irritating and the banana stuff got boring so quickly! Loved Dawn though and Morphine as well! Anyone else binged the earlier years/ have significant changes to Queens? I’m gonna carry on working my way through each series and then start on the All Stars!
