BBC vs ITV World Cup Songs

61 Rascal Flatts - Life is a Highway

n/a Tomara - Somewhere Else 😕

The Tomara song is a tune and unsurprisingly is a combo of Aurora and Tom Rowlands from the Chemical Bros. They performed it on Jools Holland a few weeks ago and it sounds great. It was top 100 a few days ago on iTunes but nowhere to be seen now. As above it’s the BBC’s World Cup theme tune.

Love the fact that 45 years on, The Fizz (Bucks Fizz) are still smashing it on iTunes!

More AI crap, of course. Now people don't even need to go to the effort of making their own bad song to make a political point.

Im not sure its AI though Screenshot_20260618_222116_Spotify.jpg

But shes definitely passionate wither way had to give it a spin out of curiosity

It is definitely AI, I pressed play on the preview (for my sins). Artwork is also AI and it's on that telltale Records DK 'label' that a lot of the AI stuff is on.

Has the Alan Parsons Project received a boost from "Sirius" being used as walk-on music?

It’s funny that we got so many humans to make songs about Boris, but all the right can bother to do is use AI generative tools to pretend actual real men and women are telling him to leave and flood iTunes with maybe 300-500 downloads each. I did listen to the whole thing…it’s seven minutes of my life I will never get back. We’re actually reaching levels of AI tracks eating each other like never seen before. Multiple Angels Above Me scrapers, double versions of All Night Long, and now more songs saying something political. Every week the downloads chart isn’t filled with these and is instead filled with human made music for old people like Rick Astley or Jane McDonald doing APT. is a good week indeed.
