Brief commentary

There's no argument the most instant track released so far from Confessions II is Love Sensation, which clobbers the nearest competition, aka the other 2 tracks released so far from Confessions II, the 2nd of which leaps up to #2 following the release of its (possibly) original solo mix by Stuart Price and the standalone promo video. I Feel So Free is kept from falling more drastically by having a stellar remix in the ether, courtesy of Peggy Gou. Soft Cell scored a number of hits on my album and tracks charts over the last 2 years due to reissues of their first 2 albums. They finally score the first all-new hit since their 2022 #1 Purple Zone in Danceteria, which coincidentally features Madonna in the lyric, and shares its title with a track from Confessions II...

Nicking a bit of fellow Swedish act Roxette's She's Got The Look, A*Teens score their surprise 2nd hit of 2026 on Tim's Top 20 Tracks with You Got The Look. Their best single by a mile is 2001s Upside Down, which I don't think will change anytime soon.

The albums chart is on its knees, with little new stuff of note being played at the moment. This has enabled Melanie C to score the longest #1 run at the top so far this year. But a 5-week #1 is still a 5-week #1. Madonna sees her though...
