• First #1 hit for American boyband The Runarounds, made up of (left to right in the above picture): Jeremy Yun (lead guitar), William Lipton (lead vocals and guitar), Axel Ellis (lead vocals and guitar), Zendé Murdock (drums) and Jesse Golliher (vocals and bass guitar), though Jeremy has since departed the group, and music in general, to focus on his studies.

• The Runarounds were formed by Outer Banks creator Jonas Pate with their own TV show in mind, which launched on Amazon Prime last year. Despite the fictional show, they are a real band outside of the show, and their TV show features their own original music.

• All of The Runarounds' charting songs this week, other than Bleachers and Chasing the Good Times, feature on the TV show soundtrack. Arrhythmia (I Hope You Stay), however, is charting mostly off the back of the main version released independently of the soundtrack version.

• Two of the band's current top 10 hits continue to reach new peaks, with Ghosts up to #4 and Beautiful Stranger up to #7.

• The Runarounds are the second artist of the year to make their chart debut at #1 in both the singles and albums charts, following Cavetown. Before that, glaive was the most recent to achieve this, back in 2022.

• Bleachers ties One Direction's Best Song Ever and Why Don't We's Hooked to be the longest running boyband #1 in my chart's history.

Black Prada dress unfairly falling but hey ho. It's a shame the public see her as past her prime because this is genuinely good.

Disappointed for Ariana as well lol. This is growing on me still so I'm hopefull it doesn't just drop out next week 😛

Yass aperture. I'm loving it still and I'm glad it's re-entered the official chart. I did think ist rune as rather short for Harry, hopefully it now has the needed momentum for another lengthy run.

That's a nice re-entry for American girls as well though I find everything post aperture disappointing for him

we have quit disjunct charts - I know nothing from your top 18. The main reason for this might be that I mainly chart females and you mainly males.

The songs from Ellie, Ariana, Felicia and Delta are nice.
