Madonna's sailed to this week's chart double, including securing the top 3 tracks, thereby maxing out the 3-tracks-per-album rule yet again. She manages to nab a 4th entry in a week once more, however, with the Dolce and Gabbana song, released way back in December. There was no way she wasn't going to have the #1 album with Confessions II, which could become my favourite Madonna album...but, we'll wait for the novelty to wear off first.

Madonna's album has also caused The Divine Comedy's album from last September to finally leave the top 10 (for now) after notching up and unexpected 30 weeks in the chart. In that time it became both my #8 most played album of last year, as well as my #8 most played album of 2026 to the end of June. It's still eligible to return if it gets played enough before its 1st release date anniversary or gets a reissue thereafter...

Hey Tim!

Madonna holding your top 3 is mighty impressive. Unfortunately I'm not feeling her at all this era which is a shame given how excited I was before the music started dropping.

Wink wink is superb and my favourite things she's released since the brat era.

Fab stuff 🎉
