Started at the weekend just gone, after a break in 2025, with Emma Willis returning as a host. Judges this series are will.i.am, Kelly Rowland, Sir Tom Jones and Tom Fletcher & Danny Jones.

The rewind feature is an interesting addition allowing each judge an opportunity to bring someone back they wished they'd turned for.

I caught up on episode 1 today, some great performances! Cate was my favourite, I'm glad Tom turned for her in the end. Diogo is probably going to go VERY FAR.

I think the rewind thing is a much better addition than the Block button. Okay, it was amusing to see it pretty much always used on Olly (albeit a bit unfair) but I don't think it ever really did anything for the show.

I'm liking Kelly on it so far and some good voices.

I know it's for next series but news has broken recently that Alesha Dixon and Stacey Solomon are the new hosts for Series 15 in 2027. The vocal coaches are will.i.am, Kelly Rowland, Cheryl and Aitch.

The "rewind button" will not return and instead the "lockdown button" will be introduced where if an act gets all 4 judges turning someone can effectively steal that act from everyone else without the need to pitch.

We've only seen the rewind be used once so far but I don't know if it has elevated the show at all.

What I will say is that, perhaps unlike what the lockdown button sounds like, or previously the block, it was more about the act than the coaches.

Originally knew of him because of Leeds Contemporary Choir (who won Pitch Battle a few years ago) but he’s now the guy who sings as Robbie Williams in the biopic about him
