There is also a fairly big drop for ‘Where We're Going’ which drops from 42-78 and ‘I Know the End’ which falls from 45-93; both were close to being Auto-Qualifiers last year but this year haven’t really sustained the support.

41 80 140 Steps - Something In Your Eyes

Edging closer to the songs that have made it in some form sees 9 songs drops from last years AQ list. ‘August’ drops from 35-68, ‘Baby It's You’ dips from 38-65 and ‘People, I've been sad’ bombs from 28-64. There’s also drops for ‘Mood’ which dops 33-58, ‘After Hours’ drops from 34-54 and Lady Gaga’s ‘Stupid Love’ falls 21-53. The clear-out is rounded off by ‘What's Your Pleasure’ which drops 31-48, ‘Breakin' Me’ falls 37-44 and ‘Think About Things’ dips 20 places from 23-43, all of those songs fail to make it to the AQ list this year. There are big climbers though particularly for ‘Something In Your Eyes’ which climbs from 80-41 and actually overtakes Steps’ other song to finishes just outside of the AQ list.

24 20 188 1975 - If You're Too Shy (Let Me Know)

23 18 193 Ava Max – Kings & Queens

22 ** 201 Roddy Ricch - The Box

21 32 203 Ariana Grande - Positions

A few new faces managing to break through and become auto-qualifiers for next year. ‘Therefore I Am’ is a new entry at 35, ‘Lost In Yesterday’ is new at 26 and due to a year swap ‘The Box’ debuts high here at 22. Also riding current success in the charts Fontaines D.C. have a new entry here with ‘A Lucid Dream’ which is new in at 32. Fontaines D.C. manage to a double for next year as ‘A Hero's Death’ climbs 5 places to 39 to make the AQ list for next year. Alongside a number of new songs, there is also a fair number of climbers too; ‘Better Off Without You’ climbs 10 places to 38, ‘React’ surges from 46-29 and ‘Easy’ takes a big climb from 51-28. ‘Angels Like You’ also manages a big climb from 43-27 and all 4 join the AQ list for next year.

Meanwhile, there are 2 hits from last years Semi-Final line up as ‘If You're Too Shy (Let Me Know)’ drops from 20 to 24 and ‘Kings & Queens’ dips from 18 to 23 and both miss out on progressing further this year. ‘Positions’ takes a big climb for Ariana Grande as it surges from 32-21 but finishes 4pts behind the song at 20.

Semi-Finalists

20 19 207 SAINt JHN - Roses (Imanbek Remix)

19 58 208 Regard & Raye – Secrets

18 25 212 Paul Woolford & Diplo (feat. Kareen Lomax) - Looking For Me

17 16 218 Taylor Swift - Cardigan

16 13 228 Weeknd - In Your Eyes

15 12 236 Dua Lipa - Hallucinate

14 07 250 Taylor Swift & Bon Iver – Exile

13 18 263 Harry Styles - Watermelon Sugar

12 14 265 Dua Lipa - Break My Heart

11 09 267 Cardi B (feat. Megan Thee Stallion) - WAP

10 15 277 Harry Styles - Golden

09 08 280 Doja Cat - Say So

08 06 296 Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande - Rain On Me

07 11 358 Joel Corry (feat. MNEK) - Head & Heart

06 10 403 Little Mix - Sweet Melody

Not a huge amount of changes to the Semi-Final line up for this year, however 2 climbs firstly for ‘Secrets’ which rises a massive 39 places from 58-19. Also taking a climb to become a semi-finalist is ‘Looking For Me’ which rises 7 places from 25-18. However, the rest of the top 20 remains unchanged of songs. A few things to note though, ‘Golden’ manages to overtake ‘Watermelon Sugar’ to become Harry Styles’ highest placed song this year with ‘Golden’ climbing from 15-10. ‘Exile’ drops 7 places to 14^th place this year, whilst ‘Sweet Melody’ climbs 4 places and finishes just 6pts behind 4^th place; possibly  Big Mix helping to give ‘Sweet Melody’ a boost in the vote.

Finalists

05 05 409 Chappell Roan - Pink Pony Club

04 03 473 Miley Cyrus - Midnight Sky

03 01 498 Dua Lipa - Physical

02 04 545 Dua Lipa - Levitating (Original / DaBaby Remix)

01 02 552 Weeknd - Blinding Lights

The top 5 remain the same, however the top 4 sees a slightly shuffle around. ‘Pink Pony Club’ is a non-mover at 5 whilst ‘Midnight Sky’ drops a place to 4, ‘Physical’ drops from topping the year previously to 3^rd place and is overtaken by ‘Levitating’ which climbs 2 place to the runner-up spot and finishes just 7pts behind Number 1.2 times ROTD winner ‘Blinding Light’s climbs a place to top the year, I think for the first time! ‘Blinding Lights’ previously has stalled behind ‘Physical’ and ‘Midnight Sky’, but has won in the final round.  Should be noted though that All 3 of those songs have won in the last 5 years, so 2020 is a fairly dominant year in this tournament.
