Posted January 16, 200718 yr Everyone has a favourite, unlike most bands, not everyone has the same favourite Mine is, What Difference Does It Make? with, William, It Was Really Nothing, in 2nd :)
January 16, 200718 yr Last Night I Dreamt Somebody Loved Me is an all-time classic - I can imagine someone like Shirley Bassey singing it, it's a modern standard of a song. Also.... Bigmouth Strikes Again, What Difference Does It Make, Girl Afraid, Barbarism Begins At Home, Well I Wonder, Handsome Devil... the list is endless....
January 16, 200718 yr the first of the gang to die :) i love everyhting about that song that's Morrissey solo, not the Smiths, though.....
January 16, 200718 yr the great thing with the Smiths is that, yes, most of the singles were good - but the b-sides and album tracks are often BETTER.

January 16, 200718 yr Author The beauty of The Smiths is if everyone did their top 10 it wouldn't be the same :)
January 17, 200718 yr Everyday is Like Sunday, definitely. My friend Heath lives in London and went up to Moz after one of his shows with flowers, handed them to Morrissey and said "hey, these are from my friend Melissa, she's from the states mate." And Moz just looked at him like he was an idiot and walked away. He called me that night, distraught. I found it highly amusing.
January 19, 200718 yr Probably: "There is a light that never goes out". But for me, every song The Smiths have is, at least, very good. :)
January 30, 200718 yr I don't know if you know every Smiths song ever made, I do and I'm sad about it. I "recently" downloaded 3 that I didn't had listen to yet because they are not in any albuns or compilations: Jeane (the most known), Wonderful Women and Work is a Four-Letter Word. I nearly cried while listening to them. Now, there are no more new songs to listen to. :( I still have a lot of songs of Morrissey's solo carreer but that's not the same for me. :(
