Former Roxy Music musician Brian Eno is producing Coldplay's new album, which will be the follow-up to 2005's 'X&Y'.

Eno told BBC Radio 4's 'Front Row' programme that he is working with the band, and revealed that the new LP "will be very original and very different from what they've done before".

Coldplay are busy working on their fourth studio album and could perform some of their new material on their forthcoming tour of Latin America, which begins next month.

Eno has previously produced albums for U2, David Bowie, James and Talking Heads.

Are any of you excited by the news that Brian Eno is producing the new Coldplay album?
