Posted February 2, 200718 yr England Squad: Robinson (Tottenham), Foster (Watford), Kirkland (Wigan); Gary Neville (Man Utd), Phil Neville (Everton), Rio Ferdinand (Man Utd), Woodgate (Middlesbrough), Bridge (Chelsea), Terry (Chelsea), Carragher (Liverpool), Dawson (Tottenham), Richards (Man City); Lennon (Tottenham), Gerrard (Liverpool), Hargreaves (Bayern Munich), Carrick (Man Utd), Downing (Midd'boro), Wright-Phillips (Chelsea), Parker (Newcastle), Lampard (Chelsea), Barry (Aston Villa), Barton (Man City), Jenas (Tottenham), Dyer (Newcastle); Rooney (Man Utd), Crouch (Liverpool), Defoe (Tottenham), Johnson (Everton).
February 2, 200718 yr Phil Neville (Everton), Downing (Midd'boro), Wright-Phillips (Chelsea), Jenas (Tottenham), Crouch (Liverpool) And people wonder why we're $h!t!?!? swp isn't even fit! i mean which footballer can stay fit playing 5 mins every 10 games? the rest are just $h!te
February 2, 200718 yr Ha ha ha Ginger Sven doesn't have a clue. He includes John Terry who hasn't played in over a month over Sol Campbell, one of the form players this season. Robinson ahead of James and Downing ahead of Taylor, two other form players. I sound like a Pompey fan.
February 2, 200718 yr Author Phil Neville (Everton), Downing (Midd'boro), Wright-Phillips (Chelsea), Jenas (Tottenham), Crouch (Liverpool) And people wonder why we're $h!t!?!? swp isn't even fit! i mean which footballer can stay fit playing 5 mins every 10 games? the rest are just $h!te Crouch isn't that bad. I know sometimes he doesn't always play brilliant, but he's a very good player. The goal he scored on Tuesday was top class and at the moment there's not anybody other than the four strikers and possibly Bent who could play for England at the moment. I agree about all the rest though, although Downing is a good option seen as he is an out and out winger which is something England lack.
February 2, 200718 yr Hmm im pleased to see Kieron Dyer back involved with England, although im not sure he'll get on the pitch. I think Crouch is the best option up front along with Wayne Rooney, but who knows what brilliant tactics McClaren has planned

February 3, 200718 yr It's strange how Michael Ricketts ( ) got a chance AGES ago when he was at Bolton meanwhile I don't recall any call-up for Kevin Nolan when he clearly deserves it.
February 3, 200718 yr We're not... If that squad can't qualify for the Championships then they don't deserve to play in the Premiership, let alone England!
February 3, 200718 yr Author We're not... If that squad can't qualify for the Championships then they don't deserve to play in the Premiership, let alone England! Yep. The quality in the squad is there, it's just showing its full potential as of yet. Hopefully though we can have a good result against Spain which will put some confidence back into the England squad.
February 3, 200718 yr Tom Huddlestone is better than half of the midfielders in our squad. Once he moves to Manchester United he'll be a regular there :P sorry Kimi :D
February 4, 200718 yr hmm some people obviously haven't been watching Downing in his last few matches -_- he's been in good form of late ;)
February 5, 200718 yr In defence of Phil Neville I think he's matured a lot since moving to Everton. Jenas is just a f***ing clogger though, a terrible hoofer with very little talent. He gets walked over by any quality side. Agree on the omission of Kevin Nolan as well - the man deserves as much a chance as Barton does.
February 6, 200718 yr Author Here's the team: Foster (Watford); Gary Neville (Man Utd), Phil Neville (Everton), Rio Ferdinand (Man Utd), Woodgate (Middlesbrough); Gerrard (Liverpool, capt), Carrick (Man Utd), Wright-Phillips (Chelsea), Lampard (Chelsea), Dyer (Newcastle); Crouch (Liverpool). Looks VERY weak. Will be intresting to see whether England play 4-5-1 or 4-3-3 though.
February 6, 200718 yr Am I the only one wanting us to lose heavily so it increases the pressure on the most useless England manager of my lifetime (and I go back to the 1970s - England's wilderness years...)?
February 6, 200718 yr I have to admit, supporting England sometimes seems so pointless, but im hoping for a good win tomorrow :D
February 7, 200718 yr Am I the only one wanting us to lose heavily so it increases the pressure on the most useless England manager of my lifetime (and I go back to the 1970s - England's wilderness years...)? I dunno. I kind of want to but all of the best candidates in the summer all have jons now anyway so they now might not want to do it now. Can't see us getting a much better manager than McLaren at the moment :(
February 7, 200718 yr we draw 2 matches and suddenly he's the worst England manager indecades  oh please!
February 7, 200718 yr And lose one. We've never been convincing under him either. He was overrated at Boro. He's shocking!
