Nooo! That sh!t song Ruby is out the same time as Kelis isn't it?

Kelis can no longer make it to #1 :(

I think 'Ruby,' is good but chances are The Fray will probably be in front of her anyway so I don't think she would have gotten to #1.

 This forum shouldn't let indie fans and pop fans mix ,they just slag each other off and try and make their music tastes sound better

*simpson all the way tho* ^_^

Wooooo!

I hope this is #2 (and Sophie #1 :P)

You are only dreaming :P

Well Done to Gwen = Top 10 on downloads only.

Obviously the key to have a big hit in 2007 is to have Timbaland producing the track & / or Akon featured on the track.

Unfortunatley that would mean that Omarion's single is going to be sucessful and it's rubbish, Timbaland is a brilliant producer but the song is boring.

I can like both, I like hardly any indie in the chart this week. But I argued facts, not opinion!

What did we do wrong for Radio 1 to punish us in this way!??!

9 :right: (from 9) Akon feat. Snoop Dogg - I Wanna Love You

Chart Run: 35-16-11-9-9

After winning music fans over with his 2003 multi-platinum debut 'Trouble', Senegalese singer Akon returns with more stories from his personal journey via his sophomore CD 'Konvicted'. If 'Trouble' was Akon's ode to redemption (before his music career took off he served time for car theft), 'Konvicted' picks up at rebirth. His mission now is to reinvent himself through his salvation - music.

Although the hit single 'Locked Up' earned him street credibility, the artists multifaceted sensibilities are evident on his second album. Akon produced and wrote all but one song on 'Konvicted'. 'Konvicted' balances streetwise swagger, studio originality and common sense to create one of the most honest releases of 2006.

'Smack That', is a deliriously energetic song that has all the ingredients of a masterful club banger and features the aggressive rhymes of eight-mile wordsmith Eminem. Another stand-out song is the anti-gangsta track 'Tired Of Runnin'. Recalling the sincerity of soul legend Curtis Mayfield's timeless 'Super Fly' soundtrack, Akon neo-blues recalls the struggle of stepping away from the game. Working in the tradition of pioneer R. Kelly, Akon moves deftly from hard-knock stories to the dance-floor to inspirational ballads; the verses are full of nimble sing-rappingwith Akon multi-tracking his voice to sing his own backing vocals on the song 'Gangsta Bop'. He proves to be innovative on a production level as well. Unafraid of lacing pop music elements like live piano and the zigzag of violins, the haunting ballad 'Never Took the Time' is a winner. The crowning jewel on 'Konvicted' is the powerful 'Africa', a percussion heavy anthem dedicated to his homeland. - HMV

20  (from 53) Jessica Simpson - A Public Affair

Chart Run: 53-20

The fabulous Jessica Simpson is back in the pop spotlight with the release of 'A Public Affair', the title track and first single to be lifted from her fifth studio album. Taking its cheeky cue from Madonna's 'Holiday', 'A Public Affiar' is very much the sound of Jessica shaking off her recent marital troubles for some carefree fun, as seen in the music video for the track, a roller-disco-orgy full of beauties including Eva Longoria, Christina Applegate and Christian Milian. - HMV

Discussion Thread Here

This was released here last year and both the tune and album flopped big time, in fact she sold fewer copies than her ex Nick Lachey and nearly lost her voice while promoting the album.

i don't think omarions single will do well over here, unless he comes and promotes, top20 at best imo

From a good song featuring Akon to a dreadful song ft Akon.
