Chasing Cars back in top ten?

Source: Music Week

Snow Patrol could be on the verge of re-entering the singles top ten this Sunday as Chasing Cars (Fiction) continues its download-powered climb back up the charts.

Early retail reports suggest that Chasing Cars is close to re-entering the top ten, some six months after its chart debut. The single currently sits at number 23 in the charts, having climbed steadily on download sales since chart rules changed on January 1 to allow all downloads into the charts, irrespective of a physical product.

In addition, the group’s latest single, Open Your Eyes, looks set to climb back into the singles top thirty this week.

Meanwhile Mika looks likely to claim a fifth week at the top of the singles chart with Grace Kelly (Island), despite a strong challenge from Akon feat. Snoop Doggy Dogg’s I Wanna Love You (Universal), which should claim a top three place.

Reports suggest that there will only be one new entry into the singles top forty this week – Towers Of London’s I’m A Rat (TVT), which looks on course for a placing in the lower end of the top thirty.

I wonder where Emma Bunton will chart with "All I Need To Know"

I'm guessing it will be a big flop

Such a shame because I think it's a good track!

Surely the Kaiser Chiefs are in with a decent chance of knocking Mika off No. 1?

Well...Mika still outsold the Kaisers by quite a margin.

Kaisers managed 26,000, Mika 55,000 (I think)

If the Chiefs raise their game to even 35,000 then Mika need quite a drop off to fall to No.2.

Possible but unlikely, especially as the kaisers may find sales tailing off a bit until the physical release due to the nature of their fanbase.

Possible to be ahead today. But unlikely to hold off Mika all week.

like every tuesday, i smoke 10 or 15 cigarettes and drink 4 or 6 beers waiting this info

i m really impatient, sorry :cheer:

I think Mika will be no1, Kaiser Chiefs 2, The Fray No5, Simon Webbe No21 & Emma Bunton No34.
hope we'll have them before 15 hours, because i must go

5 - Just Jack

4 - Akon

3 - The Fray

2 - Kaiser Chiefs

1 - Mika :puke: :puke2:

Albums wont change much but i suspect there will be a BRITS effect this week, lots of climbers!!!!

Mika should hold on to #1 positions in both charts, nothing really much happening this week in both charts, albums will have The Brits effect, probably old albums going back up the chart like Razorlight, Snow Patrol etc. Hopefully we get a MW report sometime today, hopefully before 1pm, chart info will follow, for the time being just predict away.

the chart is gonna be dreadful on sunday with all the same old big records that have charted over the past year (and maybe some from this by the end of the week if rocky anything to go by???)
