Posted February 15, 200718 yr Jim Carrey - the number 23 http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/c/cc/Number23.jpg do you want to see him in this or want him to go back and be wacky? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/3b/Jim_Carrey_Number23.jpg
February 16, 200718 yr Serious Actor... He irritates the t*ts off me when he's being all 'wacky'.... His best films are "Truman Show", "Man In the Moon" and "Eternal Sunshine..." as far as I'm concerned....
February 16, 200718 yr I think I am the only one that loved Cable Guy too, the guy was genuinely creepy in that and I thought it was a great movie
February 16, 200718 yr I liked the Cable Guy too! A decent black comedy. I think it has a bad rep because it was the first film he did that wasn't Ace Ventura style slapstic and everyone came back from the cinema feeling they got duped. I have absolutely no problem taking him seriously and he doesn't look half bad in "23," though I can hardly take the premise seriously because I always heard the number that came up so often was 32 :P
February 16, 200718 yr I think I am the only one that loved Cable Guy too, the guy was genuinely creepy in that and I thought it was a great movie I think it had the chance to be a great film, but it didn't really have the guts to go completely with the whole concept...
February 16, 200718 yr Thanks for posting this. I hadn't heard of the film so i shall watch out for it. I love Jim Carrey and have seen him do the whole range from early Ace Ventura, Mask days to Bruce Almighty, Lemony Snickett and everything in between. He has a darker side, as in Cable Guy, the Truman Show and my all time favourite Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, which is a brilliantly crafted, scripted and acted film. I shall definitely watch out for this :)
February 17, 200718 yr Author Serious Actor... He irritates the t*ts off me when he's being all 'wacky'.... His best films are "Truman Show", "Man In the Moon" and "Eternal Sunshine..." as far as I'm concerned.... well i think "Truman Show" and "Eternal Sunshine..." are one of best films ever made (in terms of watchability). and even though truman has been on bbc about 4 times in the last few months even ended up buying the dvd "Man In the Moon" good also.
February 17, 200718 yr The Truman Show was probably his best performance in my opinion although i did like the film Bruce Almighy, and i predict taht the stupid spin-off Evan Almighty will be nothing better :D but i still think he is a greta actir :D
February 17, 200718 yr I can't wait to see this film! To be honest, I don't really have a preference, I like him wacky AND serious. The Mask is one of my favourite films ever :D. xXx
February 18, 200718 yr I've wanted to see this ever since I first saw the trailer! :D I prefer him as a funny actor, Liar Liar and Bruce Almighty are amongst my favourite films. However, this does look like it could be really good too!
February 19, 200718 yr He's a good actor, I just can't stand his Ace Ventura or Dumb and Dumber performances. He almost got the right balance in Bruce Almighty, but I prefer the serious films anyway.
February 20, 200718 yr This film has got awful awful reviews from various papers I've seen. Even Johnny Vaughn from the NOTW gave it only 1 star which is very rare.

February 21, 200718 yr Doesn't look that good. It's like they're trying to make something out of nothing. All the '2 divided by 3 is 0.666' stuff, it's rubbish.

February 24, 200718 yr This film has got awful awful reviews from various papers I've seen. Even Johnny Vaughn from the NOTW gave it only 1 star which is very rare. Well, I trust very little Johnny Vaughn says tbh.... And from what I heard "The Number 23" was actually denied a critics screening, so I'd be very interested to know how these critics actually arrived at their conclusions....
February 25, 200718 yr Author Well, I trust very little Johnny Vaughn says tbh.... And from what I heard "The Number 23" was actually denied a critics screening, so I'd be very interested to know how these critics actually arrived at their conclusions.... but Johnny Vaughn doesnt actually see most of the films that are in his film review section. thought everyone knew that??? :arrr: Mixture of promotional copy and work farmed out to office juniors.
