I couldn't give a toss about Britney (or indeed her maggot of an ex..) herself, but no kid deserves to grow up an orphan, even if the parents are acting so incredibly selfish and stupid.... She DOES need to get a grip on reality though, seriously.... I hope that she sees this and it serves as a wake-up call for her to get her act together for the sake of her child if nothing else....
February 26, 200718 yr Author Who has actually said it isnt true? I havent seen the news today or anything. But one member here mis-read my post saying that an article squashing the death was not from now, but 2001. Still no confirmation either way. So this is still as relevent as it was yesterday.

February 27, 200718 yr I see why we SHOULD be affected ... since it's practially our fault along with the press, because for years the public have loved to hate Britney, and it's only now that we're seeing the huge consequences of it that people are backing out and saying "leave it out, she's having a tough time", when secretly everyone's still loving it. So yeah, some people SHOULD have issues with it, because IMO some people in some ways have blood on their hands.

A the end of the day, there is certainly an element of 'press leeching' going on, and there always has been, but no matter how distastful you and I may find it, it is, unfortunately the nature of the beast... Until people actually stop buying c**p like "Heat" magazine or all those other rubbish 'Celeb' mags and tabloids, etc, there will be a market for this sicko, vicarious shadenfreude.... It's really just appealing to our lowest, base instincts, but as you say, we're all 'still loving it', even though there's a pair of kids out there missing their mum and not understanding why they cant see her or talk to her or when she's gonna be back home... THAT is the saddest and most upsetting thing of all, what all this SH!TE is doing to those children.... And that is why I say that our feelings on this are totally irrelevant, we have no right to feel 'devastated' because none of us even know her the way those children do, and we never ever will...

She's made some decent pop tunes and worked hard for a global career. Having sold over 50 million records. You may not like her music, but many people do and those are the people who'd be devastated if she died. You sometimes need to know when to leave your comments out.
