he is too untalented and too ugly compared to the rest members..... I wish he had left instead of brian, Westlife would better than ever.
If Take that fail to reach number one with their next single, all they need is the Leona duet for Sorry seems to be the Hardest Word as a single and they will be back at the top. Possibly Leona will need it by then too.
If Take That do a duet wth Leona then they would look far more pathetic than Westlife, but I doubt it.

Oh sorry I meant A Million Love Songs as they did it on the X-factor final, sending their sales into the stratosphere.

A couple of hundred thousand people have viewed it on Youtube. It would sell massively.

It was a sensational performance IMO, and not being a Leona fan, I thought it was her best song.

Take That have sold an estimative 15m albums (2m with their last one) worldwide and about 5m singles, make 20m records sold for Take That. I don't know if Westlife have sold more albums worldwide or singles.

btw TT are named the Beatles of the 90's and the most successful british band after the beatles (in the 90's). But they are obvisouly overtaken by the spice girls by now, who have sold nearly 45m albums worldwide.

Don't be daft, Oasis were The Beatles of the 90's

But Take That are decent, Westlife aren't

when he was dropped?

He announced a new single next month.

i wonder will anyone else sign up brian,i heard his new single and it wont do much for him its a pathetic ballad about delta

I highly doubt it, considering BFG single along was a multi-million seller ^_^

TT have sold definitely MORE than 25 mil records (back then) and with their new releases the total amount is now around 30+ mil -_-

Scotty, your sales figures are only high when Robbie is mentioned, for the rest groups\artists, the sales are always underestimated

Erm what? How random. Firstly it was'nt me who made that post you just quoted. Secondly, I have no reason to inflate sales of anyone, I go by actual facts, not by what fan sites and deluded managers like Louis Walsh have to say. I would love for TT to have sold 25m the first time around but that figure has only been floating around since they released their GH back in 2005. I cannot stand inflation of sales to hype acts up more like what is done with Westlife, If I wanted to inflate Robbie's sales I would be saying he's sold a hundred million, not the actual amount.

At the time of the 'for the record' program the voicover quoted them several times as having sold 25 million in total. Whether its wrong or right I don't know.

So on European Album sales Westlife have 7 and Take That have 6. The interesting thing is that they are both beaten by the Spice Girls. Boyzone tie with Westlife with 7 despite having produced less albums. You could of course add Robbie's awards and that would leave everyone standing even if you added Ronan's 4 to Boyzone's tally, that would put TT first, SP second, BZ third and Westlife would trail behind in fourth place.

Hope this helps

Spice Girls are an awesome band :) and rumours are, that they are reuniting :D let's hope they make a big success like Take That have. :)
don't think spice girls would be big like before. they weren't big the time they splitted up. Westlife beat them in the albums by 3:1 with their last album...
Amazing that Take That have spent half of their time at #1 in the album chart with 'Beautiful World'

A few more number 1 singles would be ideal, the best chance of this happening of course is the release of the lead singles, outside that i dont believe they stand a chance of number 1 singles with the album selling in fantastic numbers.
Had Rule the World and The Flood hit #1 along with their final ever single whenever that would be then i believe they would have tied with Westlife on 14. The thing about TT is they aren't oppourtunistic like Westlife they don't look at releases coming out for 'quiet weeks' and they don't really flood the market with constant singles like Westlife did rather quality not quantity. This is why TT have spent 28 weeks at the top with 11 (2 out of 11 1 week at top) and Westlife 20 with 14 (10 out of 14 1 week at top) which are purely fanbase chart toppers. TT clearly connect to more than their own fanbase to stay atop.

True, many of the Westlife number 1 singles were flash in the pans as the die hard bought the 2 cd versions, that said, some of their earlier number 1's sold quiet well. To give Westlife their credit they had some great success and there was a time when Westlife feared no one, album wise they went head to head with the Spice Girls and beat them to number 1 and likewise with Oasis. However, in the later years they didnt and they simply didnt connect with anyone outside the fan base, as a result the sales of both their albums and singles decreased rapidly with each release.

This time round, Take That have 100% appealed to a far wider audience, but they have done extremely well to do this, one of the few bands to reform and bring their old fan base with them plus add more to it, this has greatly helped their sales and weeks spent at number 1. Rule the World sold brilliantly (850,000+) and it is quiet a shame it does not have number 1 status, additionally, the Flood has also sold so well (500,000) and also deserves number 1 status but sadly they did not achieve number 1 status. As Take That really only do very well with the lead singles they are their only chance of getting number 1 singles and hopefully they can eventually match Westlife but im not overly confident it will happen. Strangely, while singles such as Up All Night and Love Love didnt obtain top 10 status they sold over 100,000 each, in contrast said it all obtained top 10 status and has sold less, on the right weeks the singles that follow the lead singles could potentially build up the amount of top 10 hits they achieve which also looks impressive in the chart history books.
