March 19, 200718 yr It samples another song aswell, not sure if it's added to Mark Ronson's version, or Morrisey sampled it in his original
March 19, 200718 yr There's a remix of this track by Chicken Lips which is fantastic. Nothing will ever match the genius of the Smiths' version, though.....
March 20, 200718 yr After all the amazing opinions on this I thought it was going to be great. It was not. :(
March 20, 200718 yr I bought Mark Ronsons album from a few years album (the title escapes me now...) which was rather good, lots of use of samples and quite raw sounding (a bit patchy in parts though). Still not heard this as yet, but I know he gave a helping hand to Amy's amazing album, so I will be purchasing his album no doubt. Here Comes The Fuzz Anyways, here's a video :D (Mark Ronson himself posted the video): C6ekBbmOcKA Edited March 20, 200718 yr by blade699
March 21, 200718 yr Has anyone heard the Kylie 'Slow'/Mark Ronson 'Oooh-Weee' booty? It's MEGA drool!
March 24, 200718 yr Has anyone heard the Kylie 'Slow'/Mark Ronson 'Oooh-Weee' booty? It's MEGA drool! No, can it be found on youtube or myspace?
March 24, 200718 yr I couldn't even get half way through watching the video up there ^^^ It bored me :(
March 25, 200718 yr I'm almost a month late for this thread but i have to say this is a really great song :o Ive never really taken much notice of Mark Ronson before but this is fantastic ^_^

March 26, 200718 yr I'm still undecided over this - whether it's bone-crushingly terrible... or if it's actually rather good..... I'm more on the 'terrible' side today....
March 26, 200718 yr Nothing will ever match the genius of the Smiths' version, though..... Indeed, I think this should probably be a #1 and I'd be delighted if this and Arctic Monkeys could be #1 and #2 in the next few weeks :cheer:
March 27, 200718 yr the problem with this Mark Ronson single is obvious... you watch Joe Public make this record a huge hit - then the comments (especially from the kids of Buzzjack) of how Ronson's version is infinitely better than The Smiths' version... exactly the same thing happened with Kate Bush's Hounds of Love when Futureheads covered it
March 27, 200718 yr People on Kate Bush's 'This Woman's Work' youtube page keep saying ''Maxwell's version is better'' it's f***ing $h!t.. seriously...
March 28, 200718 yr he's trying to copy her, aswell... to me, covers should be like this, try and make it your own.. not blatanley copy the original
March 28, 200718 yr I'm not a fan of cover versions anyway - but I agree, if you're going to cover a song, do a radically different version of it. But preferably without the speeded-up chipmunk cheesy female vocals and tinny Euro beat - a la Cascaaaarghhhhda
