Posted April 13, 200619 yr Dookie for me! or nimrod or american idiot or warning you get my drift i love them all! Btw i haven't added International Superhits because it's a greatest hits! Edited April 14, 200619 yr by e-motion
April 14, 200619 yr "American Idiot" without a doubt - by far the most ambitious and musically mature, and it actually sounds vaguely like a proper Punk album grown-ups as opposed to Pop Punk for 14 year olds....
April 14, 200619 yr American Idiot. All this 'oh we don't like AI because it's too mainstream' is absolute bollocks. From a personal viewpoint AI is the best of the albums (and yes I have ALL the albums) as it covers a range of different political issues yet still manages to churn out some GREAT tunes.
April 14, 200619 yr have to say warning as this was the point when i first got into them, dookie's good however ai has got a couple of tracks that were so overplayed on the radio that i dont need to listen to them for years.
April 14, 200619 yr I need to get some of their older albums, I own 'American Idiot' but I don't really like the album as a whole. My favourite song alternates all the time but my current favourite is on 'Insomniac' I believe, so I might get that. :P
April 14, 200619 yr Author For me, Insomniac. And it's 1039 Smoothed.... not 1200 lol. I believe you are right, i did know that for ages but then i started thinking it was 1200  It's the only one i haven't got so that probably explains the confuddlement. :D
April 14, 200619 yr Lol. I have all of them except Shenanigans. I've got a few songs off it and I did try to get the album but somehow forgot about it. I think AI is a close second for me as I like how it follows on. Very clever.

I think AI is a close second for me as I like how it follows on. Very clever. Shenanigans is good but not one i listen to alot, i stick mainly with Warning, Nimrod and AI. I think my favourite song from AI is probably, Jesus of surburbia or ..... erm......... Extraordinary girl. Maybe.
April 14, 200619 yr My favourites from AI are Homecoming (especially Tre's bit), St Jimmy, Boulevard Of Broken Dreams and Holiday.
April 14, 200619 yr Author I love Tre Cool, he is such a legend, i love 'All by myself' on the end of Dookie album soooooooo funny!! On bullet in a bible it always cheers me up when on Holiday, Billie says' This song's not anti-american, it's anti-war' LOVE IT! I'm gonna stop obssessing now  :D Edited April 14, 200619 yr by Mrs Armstrong
April 14, 200619 yr Lol Bullet In A Bible is great. Tre's random 'YUR...YURRRRRRRRRR' on the tour bus <333. And his little 'roll roll roll a joint' thing. Have you heard this song he's done called DUI (Driving Under the Influence) ?? It's so funny. And you should listen to the Network. That's GD. Tre sings a song on their album.
April 14, 200619 yr Author I dont remeber if ive heard it but my friend told me about it! I love on BIAB when tre' is putting his eyeliner on and turns to the camera and says 'Im so beautiful!' lol he 's such a legend!
April 16, 200619 yr American Idiot. All this 'oh we don't like AI because it's too mainstream' is absolute bollocks. From a personal viewpoint AI is the best of the albums (and yes I have ALL the albums) as it covers a range of different political issues yet still manages to churn out some GREAT tunes. Agreed, I mean, how the fukk can a Politically-themed concept album with two nine-minute songs (one of which was released as a single...) be considered "mainstream" FFS..... <_< If you ask me, it was the stuff they were doing before AI that was the totally poppy mainstream stuff. I despised Green Day (although I rated them as a live band..) and their annoying Frat-boy Yankee Pop-Punk ilk before they did AI, because I'm jus about old enough to remember what Punk Rock was originally all about; so believe me when I say that it came as a pleasant shock to my system to hear "American Idiot"....
