Why did fecking Scooch have to fecking reform in the first place, Cyndi would have been the ideal entry for a good result <_<

Hi guys,

I've only heard the 30 seconds clips, out of which Cyndi was my fave.

Where can I hear the full version of Scooch?!

Thanks :)

But why did the British public vote for it, it won't win, Britain won't be able to vote for their own song, sheer lunacy

Exactly my thoughts, it's based completely on the false assumption that the ESC is the exact same as it was in the 80s, full of complete schlager, they promised us Morrissey and we got fecking SCOOCH :manson:

Oh well, at least if AKOE is anything to go by the backlash from this should guarantee that the BBC rethink the process next year :smoke:

They could have sent the Fast Food Rockers instead

I would probably have murdered someone :smoke:

Tyron, take a chill pill!

That Cyndi song was DULL. And it sounded like Westlife/Bette Midler. The Scooch song may not be original, but its fun and colourful.

Most of the UK class Eurovision as a joke, and there's little you can do about that.

As for saying that Greece and Cyprus arent giving each other votes politically, I must use a smiley you have used rather alot in this thread:

Dear God..... And how dare you to take some of the votes from the Danish song?! DAMN! Our "Copenhagen Airport" in the Danish selection was waaayyy better than this.... However, it's actually a bit fun.. and could be fun on stage.. Good luck!

Cyndi would have gone down well in Europe, Scooch is just something Europe has seen millions of times before, it won't work! -_-

And, I'm not saying there's absolutely no politics involved, but it's not majorly political - the people are voting, not the government - and the two countries share INCREDIBLY similar cultures, do they not?

Hence why we still got high votes from Ireland even during the Troubles, because we both share a very similar culture ^_^

And I will not take a chill pill, this is a fecking travesty :smoke:

i would love Malta to do well ive always loved their entries especially Ira Losco she was robbed :(

I'm actually rooting for Britain to do as badly as possible just to show the British public that Scooch style stuff just DOESN'T WORK in Europe anymore.

Hopefully then we can send soemthing that Europe loves - the Scissor Sisters!

Well, if you say there are only 3 novelty acts, and we have one of them, surely we will stand out above many bland ballads that other countries may have put forward? Scooch are pop anyway, not quite novelty...

The longs standing Cyprus/Greece 12 points is long standing and is entirely political. As is Austria/Germany, all the Balkans, the Baltic states, Scandanavia, I could go on.

And you should chill, all the songs were pants in comparison to most of the music the UK comes out with ^_^

But the scooch song is catchy

So was Hawkins & Brown, and I can't help but feel that would have achieved vastly more :(

The thing is, the British public won't be able to vote for them in the final, so why put a dire song in there, when other countires won't vote for us, the public just sealed our fate. But than again if Lordi won with a dreadful track, we might just have some hope
