I was woundering is CD 2 for Hilary Duff's new single With Love innelligable for the chart as on the sticker on the front it says "includes free poster" or something like that but i know it uses the word free, so does that mean that CD 2 is inelligable to count for th chart?

As far as I'm aware posters are one of the only things you can give free with singles. Loads of bands used to do it and they were never disqualified!

I will kick off big style if it does mean its inelligable.

McFly's Xmas single had free postcards and that was eligable.

A free poster is allowed, I THINK!

Rules changed at the beginning of the year. Not entirely sure if a poster counts.

The rules were:

 

FREE GIFTS

A. 1 x Poster

or

B. Cards to a maximum of 4 - cards must be contained within the format and be 2 sided with no folds.

or

C. one 4 page (2 sided) j-card/booklet

 

Hopefully, the rules havent changed!

A “gift†is defined as any item which has a market value of its own, however small. Records

sold with free gifts are ineligible for the chart. Therefore no other item may be included other

than those outlined below:

 

One “posterâ€. Can be printed on both sides. There is no size specification but after folding it

must be contained within the packaging.

 

OR

 

“Cards†to a maximum of 4. Card(s) must be contained within the format packaging and be 2

sided with no folds. Card(s) maybe printed on both sides. Maximum card size is dictated by the

dimensions of the packaging they are to be contained within.

 

OR

So it should be ok, even though it says free on it, thats good then, well actualy it is bad if With Love isnt top 20, i was sort of hoping it was inelligable and would explaine the low placing of with love.

as others have said it's fine, definitely chart eligible.
