March 28, 200718 yr I'd say Richardson and Lennon where our best tonight, I don't think Gerrard played that great apart from his goals (mainly in the first half) but none of the team played great despite the win, and most of downings crosses where overhit... ¬_¬ Edited March 28, 200718 yr by ChapStick
March 28, 200718 yr I'll be brave and say 3-0 to England  :D What was the game like? Did England deserve a 3-0 win? :o
March 28, 200718 yr :D What was the game like? Did England deserve a 3-0 win? :o We didn't deserve to win 3-0. I'd have been happy with 1-0 tbh, at least we'd have still got the 3 points.
March 28, 200718 yr We didn't deserve to win 3-0. I'd have been happy with 1-0 tbh, at least we'd have still got the 3 points. Ah rite, i had a quick look at the score at half time, and as it was 0-0 i thought a final score of anything more than 1/2-0 would be undeserved.

March 29, 200718 yr Author England didn't play very well TBH! They didn't deserve to win 3-0, but it's a win and 3 points are good!
March 29, 200718 yr They did deserve 3-0. We created 20 chances to Andorra's 1. We completely dominated the game against a bunch of dirty semi professionals. However, it was still embarassing. Rooney is a joke now, drop him for good. Downing and Lennon really aren't international quality, their crosses were c**p. Who cares if Lennon can beat a man? He can beat all 11 but the end product is rarely very good. When Joe Cole is fit again and McClown sees sense ( ) and plays Beckham, along with Owen back up-front we CAN be a world class team. Gerrard showed last night he's a much better central midfielder than Lampard is, chasing lost causes, winning balls and two goals. He's the only REAL world class player we have going forward. Well, from the current squad anyway. Also glad Nugent got a goal, class player.
March 29, 200718 yr Truly embarrassing. Downing and Johnson are awful. Why does that ginger t*** favour Johnson over Defoe and Nugent and why is he still in the job?! Why is he playing 4 defenders?!! Take Downing and Johnson off and bring Defoe and Nugent on and play the full backs as wingers and Lennon up front! And I thought saturday was bad, England are a laughing stock. Sorry, but at NO point in that game was Johnson anywhere near as bad as Wayne Rooney way!

March 29, 200718 yr The problem is Owen is the ONLY good goalscorer we have and Rooney is the best other forward we have by a LONG WAY but if Nugent can keep scoring then maybe he could take his place but I'd take Rooney over Defoe and Johnson anyday! However I do think he should be dropped in the next friendly.
March 29, 200718 yr i'd be tempted to go Defoe/Crouch in June. Defoe was bright against Israel, and technically had a goal against Andorra with the ball 6 inches away ^_^ talking forwards, was it me or did the Andorra forward look a right chav
March 29, 200718 yr I don't think Crouch should be used in the starting role anymore, well not whilst McLaren is about anyway! Crouch and Rooney don't work as a partnership at all and that's been tested many times already and it's just about failed every time. McLaren always seems to play the long ball tactic when Crouch starts and it just doesn't work at all. When Crouch is used as an impact player he can cause loads of problems for the defence as proven already. England are just too predictable at the moment. It's easy to guess what starting XI will be put out because generally it's always the best names on paper. Opposing managers know how to counter this and how to wind up certain players i.e. Rooney as shown many a time.

Defoe would be my first choice at the moment from the glimpses we saw against Israel and his "goal" against Andorra
April 3, 200718 yr Author It's sometime in June i think! That's when all of the next qualifiers are i think! If i'm wrong, please correct!
