Hmm so we can't use mobile phones, because rightly it distracts you, and effects your driving as proven in numerous tests.

 

So why on earth hasn't sat nav been banned from cars, as that is far more distracting with some robot telling you to turn right in 50 metres -_- and the fact people drive along, with one hand playing around with it entering instructions along motorways and dual carriageways :blink:

... hm I don't really agree ... surely if someones telling you to go right in 50 meteres, that's going to keep you more focussed on the road rather than someone in your ear asking what you're going to have for dinner? if it says "turn right in 50", you'll be aware and focussed on your driving? i don't see the voice as any more distracting as having a passenger in the car with you

 

but i do agree about fiddling with it while you're driving, not on.

Simple, it's a great method for the Govt to know where you are at all times....

sat nav is for girls..... dumbasses! i look at a map before my journey and memorise the critical areas, thats what blokes do!

It's not always reliable either. What about all these recent stories about daft twits driving their £80,000 cars into rivers because their Sat Nav told them to take a left turn? Didn't the fishermen and ducks make them think 'Hmmmmm, something might be wrong here...'

I've heard stories where the sat nav took people on a 300 mile trip to go down the road or near enough :lol:

 

They also have a tendency to tell you your driving in the middle of the sea

I too can read signs .... and maps :o

 

but I agree am sure that litlle screen would distract me..
