Posted March 31, 200718 yr We all have music that we love in spite of ourselves. It's usually bizarre or bad music that we just have a weakness for, but when these songs come on the radio I don't change the station for some weird reason (perhaps it's like watching a car crash even though you know its horrible you can't take your eyes off of it). I'll just go off in a corner somewhere and die now..... )

April 8, 200718 yr :o The musical snobbery in this thread! I'm not ashamed of anything I like. :D Nor should anyone else be imo. i disagree... our world leading music scene for the last 50 years has been built on the backs of musicians, artists who have had something to say. encapsulating an emotional moment in time and giving it life through sound and lyrics in order to convey it to others deserves respect. 'party pop' , the 3 minute jingles often the scourge of real music fans is by comparison utterly dead. ok, they can be catchy, they can be fun, but ultimately they do nothing for the music industry. but variety has been the backbone of british music for 50 years, and we often subscribe to a particular style for one reason or another. (punk broke down the polarised opinions of the 70's). everyone believes their taste is the best, and of course to them it is! so i dont think its a bad thing to dislike other genres, why like them just to be politically correct?..lol.. however, we all do like something that really doesnt suit our image.
