"Maneater" is a pop song written by Nelly Furtado, Timothy "Timbaland" Mosley, Jim Beanz and Nate "Danja" Hills for Furtado's third album Loose (2006). It was co-produced by Timbaland and Danja and includes influences of 1980s music by artists such as Eurythmics and Hall & Oates. Released as the album's first single in Asia, Europe and Latin America in May 2006, "Maneater" became one of Furtado's most popular singles, topping the singles charts in Poland, Portugal, India and the UK, and reaching the top ten across much of Continental Europe. It peaked at USA#16.

(6) :right: 06 Britney Spears - Toxic (375 Pts - Final)

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/4f/BritneySpears-Toxic.jpg

"Toxic" became Spears' biggest U.S. hit since "...Baby One More Time", and her first top-ten single on the Billboard Hot 100 since 2000's "Oops!... I Did It Again". For these reasons, the song is considered by some critics to have been her first comeback single.

"Toxic" reached #9 on the Hot 100 chart. The single also experienced strong downloads, and became her first number one on the Hot Digital Tracks (it was the 4th most legally downloaded song of 2004); however, these downloads did not help the song on the charts, as digital sales did not begin counting towards chart positions until early 2005; it would have been a top 5 single. The single was also ranked at forty-eight on the Billboard Hot 100 Year-End chart for 2004. "Toxic" became one of the biggest worldwide hits of 2004, and reached the top five or number one in nearly every country it charted in.

The single also became a huge success in the UK, selling 102,000 copies in its first week of release and debuting at number one, charting ahead of Kylie Minogue's "Red Blooded Woman" which entered the chart at #5. The chart battle between the two divas was highly popularized in the UK. Ironically, the Cathy Dennis penned song had originally been offered to Kylie for inclusion on her 9th studio album Body Language, but she turned it down. "Toxic" sold a total of 268,000 copies in the UK and became the 9th best selling single of 2004. In Europe, the single peak at number-one in the Euro 200, becoming her third number-one hit there.

(116) 05 Robbie Williams - Angels (378 Pts - Final)

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/3c/AngelsRobbiecover.JPG

"Angels" is a song written by Robbie Williams and Guy Chambers, originally performed by Williams, and covered by Jessica Simpson, Mexican singer Yuridia and also by singer Beverley Knight and 2006 newcomer band All Angels. The original recording by Williams proved to be the greatest commercial success. In October 2006 the RTE documentary This Note's For You, presented by Tom Dunne, said that the song was originally co-written by Williams and Irish singer Ray Heffernan. After the song was polished by Guy Chambers, Heffernan was offered and accepted £7,500 for his rights. This however has not been officially verified, and has been thought by some to be an attempt by Heffernan to boost his own songwriting career. "Angels" was the fourth single from Robbie Williams' debut album, Life Thru a Lens. It has been credited with saving the singer's solo career, and is used to conclude all of his concerts.

At the 2005 BRIT Awards, "Angels" was voted by the British public the best song in the past twenty-five years of British music, though it had only reached number four on the singles chart. In a survey by UK digital TV station Music Choice, it even came in at number one as the song people would most like played at their funeral.

Incredibly, Robbie's original version of this song never went Top3 in any country. It made UK#4, USA#41 & OZ#40. Amongst other countries it's highest charting position was #4 in Switzerland.

(7) 04 Christina Aguilera – Beautiful (385 Pts - Final)

"Beautiful" is a song written and produced by Linda Perry, and recorded for American pop singer Christina Aguilera's second studio album, Stripped (2002). It is a cello-driven, classically-flavored ballad in which its protagonist deals with hurtful statements made against her that cause her to feel insecure and have low self-esteem. She does not let other people's negativity get the best of her, and proclaims, "I am beautiful no matter what they say, words can't bring me down". She also spreads the same message to her audience, with "You are beautiful in every single way". It was released as the album's second single in late 2002 and reached number one in several countries. It is considered one of Aguilera's signature songs earning her two Grammy Awards. It made USA#2 & was #1 in Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Malaysia & United World Chart.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/4f/Album_Can't_Get_You_Out_Of_My_Head.jpg

"Can't Get You out of My Head" is a pop-dance song recorded by Australian singer-songwriter Kylie Minogue for her eighth studio album Fever (2001). The club track was written and produced by Cathy Dennis, and Rob Davis and was inspired by 1990's electropop and eurodance. Released as the album's lead single in the third quarter of 2001, it reached number one in forty countries, selling an amount of about 6,500,000+ copies worldwide. While the song became Minogue's first U.S. top-ten single in thirteen years, "Can't Get You out of My Head" ranked as the second most successful single of the year 2001.

As well as reaching USA#7, it was #1 in Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Mexico, Moldova, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Ukraine, Turkey & United Kingdom.

Dennis and Davis, as composers, won the Ivor Novello Award for "The World's Most Performed Song" for 2001. It also won Minogue several awards throughout the world, including ARIA Awards for Australia's highest selling single of the year, and "Best Pop Recording". Minogue also received an ARIA Award for "Special Achievement" for her career success during this period, largely attributed to the success of this single.

(1) 02 Natalie Imbruglia - Torn (439 Pts - Final)

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/e/e1/Torn.jpg/200px-Torn.jpg

"Torn" is a song by the band Ednaswap from their debut album Ednaswap (1995). It was written by Scott Cutler, Anne Preven and Phil Thornalley.

In 1997, Australian singer Natalie Imbruglia covered the song for her debut album Left of the Middle. Released as a single, Imbruglia's version became a worldwide hit including UK#2 & OZ#2 spending a month behind Aqua's Barbie Girl. At the time, U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart rules did not allow for airplay-only songs to chart, so the song was prevented from achieving a high position on that chart despite remaining atop the Hot 100 Airplay chart for eleven weeks. The physical single has sold more than 3 million copies worldwide, including almost 1 million copies in the UK alone, where it peaked at #2 and is the third biggest-selling single in history not to have topped the chart.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/5/5e/Don't_Speak.jpg/200px-Don't_Speak.jpg

"Don't Speak" is the third single from Tragic Kingdom, the third album by Californian third wave ska group No Doubt, released in late 1996.

Despite the song's popularity, "Don't Speak" did not chart on the Billboard Hot 100 (as rules of the times required commercial singles for charting and one was not issued for the song), but it did reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay. The song also reached number one in the UK, Australia, Canada, France, Latvia, Switzerland, the Netherlands, New Zealand & United World Chart. The single ignited the mid-1990s ska revival, and is No Doubt's most successful international single, propelling them to superstardom. "Don't Speak" is No Doubt's biggest hit and was nominated for the Song of the Year and Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal at the Grammy Awards of 1998.

The music video won the award for Best Group Video and was nominated for the Video of the Year award at the 1997 MTV Video Music Awards.
